Cabin crew & pax sounds - any suggestions?

Featured Replies

I was flying the PMDG tonight, when I suddenly realized how dead the experience is, in terms of immersive ambient sounds.  Such as hearing boarding sounds, cabin crew announcements etc.

Are there any suggestions for an addon that will add just these?

What I mean by that is, I know some of these career addons contain some things like that, but I'm not in the slightest bit interested in things like A Pilots Life ie. a career addons, so don't realy want to pay for something where 95% of the paid features are things I wouldn't be using.

I'm just wanting simple immersion - hearing passengers boarding the plane, some basic flight attendent announcements, etc.

Any suggestions?

PS.  I already own FS Realistic with it's own (very limited) cabin sounds.  But I've retired that addon and don't use it any more. Looking for something else.

  • Always lovely when someone tells others how to have fun and what they should do.     As a real-life pilot, I really enjoy those announcements; they’re a nice addition to an entertainment platfo

  • You should use Self-Loading Cargo, it's MUCH better.

Self-Loading Cargo and PACX are two options.  GSX can add passenger sounds on boarding and deboarding.

Thanks.  I wouldn't be going the GSX route, but I did a quick Google of "MSFS Passenger and crew sounds" and got lot's of results about PACX.     So I'm checking it out right now!

For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

PACX is good - just good. I remember reading that there will be no further development on it though.

SLC is much more in-depth and can take some time to configure, but once you do it exceeds PACX by a fair margin.

There is a newer program called Passenger2 which I believe is career-based as well? Not sure as I have not used it. I also read that it integrates well with GSX.

LukeAirTool is freeware and may contain what you are seeking?

i9-13900K | 6400MHz DDR5 (32GB) | GeForce RTX 4090 24GB

MSFS 2024 | PMDG 777-300ER | FBW A380X | Fenix A320 | ini A350

I would say LukeAirTool for cabin crew announcements/actual recordings of such from various airlines. It has a pretty good catalogue of airlines to chose from as well. It also allows you to create your own if you want to go down that route.

Thanks folks.

I discovered and tried Luke Air Tool (free) and it is exactly what I was looking for!

Very impressive that it has dozens of different airline sound packs.... and again for free.

As I didn't want anything career-related, this little tool is just perfect.  I already created and integrated my own boarding music into it too!

Flew an Easyjet flight in the Fenix A320 and had full, authentic announcements (as well as good boarding/pax sounds).

Very pleased!

Thanks.

Just an FYI, PACX is still in development but TFDi has higher priority stuff at the moment —according to them anyway.

Do it run in VR mode ?

A long time ago I downloaded some crew wav files.  PAX Boarding...pilot welcome...taxi....arm doors.....dim lights....beverages during climb out....turbulance....decent....welcome.... I play them on my windows player whenever I want to hear a certain item. They are really good.....real people.  I even edited a couple when the original wav indicated a city or time of day so make it generic

SLC iws pretty nice... Yet it's not yet a ready program completely. It has some glitches and hangups, but from these alternatives I think it's the best. I might give a try for the Luke's Air Tool... Or is it only for MSFS?

Quick Question for those using SLC. Does anybody figure out how to use it alongside Lossless Scaling?
