Simbrief profile for PMDG737 MSFS2024
Simbrief already has loaded a profile for 737NG FS2024, and it is credited to PMDG. I thought the release date hadn't been announced yet. It usually happens after launch or when it is imminent.

Q&A with Brian From SayIntentions: Traffic, PocketSky & More
After trying it many times I still think they will never fully own the market if they don't change their voice server/provider. Voices sound dated, some of them frankly robotic. BATC free voices sound a lot better and are incredibly more immersive (accents, radio deg, etc). I still have to try their AI living world to see how FPS compares to BATC. But since I dont care about tour guides, fire missions, etc. Don't see anything that makes me want to change ship anytime soon.

Cabin crew & pax sounds - any suggestions?
Quick Question for those using SLC. Does anybody figure out how to use it alongside Lossless Scaling?

SayIntentions .. What state is it in currently?
I've tried SI many times and sometimes go back to check the new features. While it is certainly super complete, for me the biggest downside are the r voices. They sounded great when the program was initially launched but today i've found that they sound super robotic IMHO in comparison to BATC premium. Once BATC launches its VFR I think ill stick to that unless SI changes their voice provider.

OpenPax: Open-source Passenger add-on (early development)
Is this still in development? Looks super promising.

SayIntentions multiplayer traffic preview
I've used both extensively and while SI offers a lot more than BATC at the moment, voices are not that good. Most of the time you will get the same 3 or 4 US voices, while flying somewhere else in the world. Also IMHO BATC does a lot better VHF audio degradation effect. Closer to what i've experienced in real life and what you can easily hear on any online videos. SI voices sound a little more robotic to me (lot better than default ATC of course)

PSXT as static parked aircraft generator
Hi Nico. I understand this is not longer possible with V10? In order to generate static we would need to buy a license?

BATC Questions
Highly recommended. One of the best 30 dollars I spent this year. For IFR flights it really is unbeatable, I tried from day 1 Sayintentions and from time to time I resubscribe to test the improvements, but I always come back to BATC. The voice quality is a generation ahead of what Sayintentions offers. I'd say even the free voices (which you can use indefinitely once you make the one-time 29.99 payment) are on par with competing voices. Once they introduce LLM in January I think they'll be way ahead, especially since VFR control should arrive shortly thereafter. Unless you fly most of the time VFR (personally I always felt that MSFS ATC does a very good job at VFR control anyway) or intend to use Tour Guide or any of those SI features, my recommendation is to buy BATC. I use it along with FSTL, I really prefer to see the real traffic and use AIFlow to separate me from the rest of the traffic and put Liveatc in the background. But I tested the BATC traffic and it works very well.

MSFS 2024 is a "...pretty..." mess
"For me, MSFS 2024 is just a blurry mess—ugly colors, trees everywhere, and square polygons for buildings. I’ll be moving next week, so hopefully upgrading from a 300MB to an 800MB internet connection will improve my experience (along with better compatibility with Nvidia filters).

Will you keep using MSFS 2020?
I will keep both installed but wil be using MSFS2020. Preordering MSFS2024 premium deluxe was a terrible decision, game looks terrible most of the time. Even with Nvidea Filters the colors look cartoonish compared to MSFS (with color temp correction). I have a 300mb connection and is blurry 90% of the time. Only reason I would be switching to MSFS20204 anytime soon would be Asobo opening Camera API exclusively for the latest sim and if they abandoned the in cloud thing. Or at least give users the option to download the sim and aircrafts like we had in MSFS2020 (like Bluebird simulations suggested). That's if they managed to iron the CTD's and bugs in the next year (2020 took almost 3 to be a ctd free sim). But since they couldn't even get control mapping to port from one sim to another I don't have a lot of faith honestly. I think 2020 in its current state is still the best sim ever released.

Best ATC Add-One without AI traffic taken into account
Having tried most of them except FSHUD, if you fly both IFR and VFR I would recommend you to try Sayintentions. If you only fly IFR I would go with BATC. Does the job right and voices IMHO are miles ahead of Sayintentions or anything available on the market. Sayintentions besides all the marketing they put out, seems to have an average of 10/15 voices most of the time, and only a couple of those sound actually good. They are mostly focused on features like a cabin crew and tour guide than voice quality/variety and accents. If you dont care about voices then Pilot2ATC or PF3.

PSXT as static parked aircraft generator
Hi Nico; Sorry if you have replied to this earlier. Does the time and day affects the parking thats being generated? (I mean in the free version). Thank you
-
PSXT as static parked aircraft generator
Because it provides parking at the real gates

PSXT as static parked aircraft generator
I've post the log text in the PSXT forum since deleting RT License didn't solve the issue unfortunately. Yes Nico I know its an issue with my config, Sorry if it sounded like it was the program's fault or that the program didn't work.

PSXT as static parked aircraft generator
Hi! Thanks for the reply, it does says RT Licence expired. I will try that and report back thank you
-
PSXT as static parked aircraft generator
PSXT keeps restarting itself. And never injects any static aircraft
- A miracle ? LSFG (Lossless Scaling Frame Generation)

Active Sky review
Yes. I'm using the preset. I understand Passive will only apply effects but no depiction. I've been only using Realism as starting point. But I'll double check. Thank you for the reply.

Active Sky review
I've purchased ActiveSky mainly looking for more type of clouds (which IMHO delivers along better visibility/humidity depiction) and also to show some support to a piece of software thats been with the FS community since forever. My main issue right know is turbulence effects . I find them to be event more unrealistic that MSFS default. Anybody knows if Active Sky overrides MSFS turbulence or works along with it? I mean if I set all turbulence effects in ActiveSky to 0, would I still be getting MSFS turbulence? I've tried a couple of flights doing this but it seems ActiveSky either cancels all effects or I was unlucky (lucky) to hit a smooth ride.

xMETAR Full (by spectrun). The Real Time Weather System
I would be interested as it seems to depict humidity in a more realistic way than default weather, but the lack of videos on YouTube make it really hard to see what the product brings.

Pilot 2 ATC vs. Beyond ATC vs. Say Intentions...
Yes. I'm also a user of SI. Like I said, IFR needs lots of work. VFR is almost release ready at this point. But devs are updating the program almost daily, so hopefully in a couple of weeks IFR will be in a very similar state to VFR.

Pilot 2 ATC vs. Beyond ATC vs. Say Intentions...
FYI just in case you want to try the demo, although might not be what you are looking for, you can type with your keyboard on SI instead of talking. Not a proper interface but very much like VATSIM voice receive only experience (sort of).

Pilot 2 ATC vs. Beyond ATC vs. Say Intentions...
I've used Pilot2ATC in the past. Great software, probably on of the best in terms of handling a FP, the fact that you can update the database with Navigraph is great, (I was a RC user and also own PF3 ATC). Main issue with Pilot2ATC is that the voices are word not allowed. I've seen videos in Youtube of people spending 300 dollars for "quality" voices and they will still sound ugly. Specially since those "pro" voices dont have any vhf effect, which not only affects immersion but IMHO as a former GA pilot, hearing an instruction when you have VHF degradation is also part of the challenge. I dont own FSHud and BATC is still in early beta. I've been using SI for weeks now. Key observations below: - 100% AI based, means that you can literally ask anything in any way and the Ai will reply like a "human" person. - Voices are the best i've heard. I use Liveatc in the background and sometimes is hard to differentiate a real person from the AI generated voice. - VFR is almost release state. So if GA is your thing, then nothing comes even close. You can probably argue that PE would be better, but they cost the same per month and only cover a small part of the world. And (this might be nonsense to some), SI is adding voices every week, so you dont get to talk with the same person during your entire flight. Last time i've tried PE that was the case. -IFR will get your FP from Simbrief. It works. It still has lots of issues with approaches. My main problem right now is that they will clear you for the correct arrival and approach but.... 150nm from your destination. - Response times averages 9 seconds. Sometimes it will reply in 4/5 secs sometimes will take 10. Is getting lower every week but still pretty slow response times for IFR. - You can hear other people flying although it wont limit the chatter to the freq you are on. There is also AI generated chatter. No plan on adding FSLTL chatter since apparently is not possible. They will eventually release their own injector (very much like BATC). - I've been simming since FS98 and I've never, ever seen a software develop so fast. If you join Si discord you will get an idea of what I am saying. They are literally pushing updatea every single day. SI also has a 24h free unlimited demo and then is up to you to sign up. Me personally, I will be supporting SI until BATC is released, will probably buy BATC and then compare. 30$ per month is certainly a lot of money (Im from Argentina, so here is a LOT of commitment for a subscription) but right know is the most immersive software I've seen. Again only comparable to a full staffed VATSIM session (which unless you jump online at an event is a rare avis) . I will be certainly following the info someone gave regarding PE giving worldwide support (couldn't find any link on that). If that happens I think it would be unmatched and will certainly be worth 30$ per month.
