xEnviro Weather Engine

XEnviro? No. I would save your money and rex accuseason. It has a few very pretty nice presets for weather since Xenviro has (apparently) some issues with real time weather.

Ie: Xnviro was notorious for their awful customer service and bad behavior towards customers. Outright nasty.

I wouldn't give them any money or the time of day.

People don't forget.

Not to mention the main developer openly admitted to having this on MSFS to produce funds on fselite....

I have both and rate xEnviro far higher in terms of sky/cloud depiction.  I have had no issues since I purchased it on day one.  Name one commercial developer who didn't have 'producing funds' as a driver when creating an addon.

I can't comment on customer service as I have never needed any 🙂

Another attempt to implement accurate weather. Added historical weather for the last year. https://orbxdirect.com/product/xenviro-weather-msfs

We are waiting for feedback from the first customers.

I have both REX WeatherForce and xEnviro. I'd rank them out of 10 (with 10 being the best). I considered cloud types generated and faithfulness to METAR data.

Default MSFS live weather 3

Let's hope that MS's contract with Meteoblue is not extended for MSFS 2024 and that MS opens up the weather API to 3rd party developers. I have a feeling that Active Sky could beat the present mix.

@LRBS, you have posted nine images. That’s too many outside the screenshot forum.

Please reduce it to four asap.

@LRBS, @MrBitstFlyer, @jabloomf1230, could you who have XEnviro comment on how smooth transitions are over time and when moving between weather stations? Are there sudden visible shifts of clouds or visibility resp. significant wind shifts?

And does the historic weather work as expected? Is it dynamic in a sense that it changes with to the time passing in the sim? Can it  be automatically synced to the time in sim?

Great questions. Would like to know the same.

In the previous version, transitions were not smooth. Regarding the most recent one, it may not be completely seamless; you may observe slight alterations. I don't see any sudden significant instant changes on my end. What I don't understand is the fact that in some locations with the MSFS2020 WX engine, there is no METAR coverage/info, while with XEnviro, you get the actual conditions. Very strange. The historic WX, I didn't use it; maybe someone else can share the info.

See the first bullet point…

Images must be posted in the AVSIM Screen Shot Forum or the Real Aviation Photos Forum.

In other forums an image is acceptable. Nine is far too many. Another moderator has hidden your post.

xEnviro doesn't morph clouds at the transition to the next weather station, it makes small morphs throughout the flight - I like the effect because there isn't a sudden change.   Weather is synced to real time and is pretty accurate.  Some will not like any sort of weather transition, but the clouds/skies produced by xEnviro are worth it for me.
