Get a RTX4070ti Super.  Best bang for buck right now IMO

I concur with @btacon. Early March I upgraded from a 8GB GTX 1080 to an RTX 4070 Ti SUper 16GB. World of difference. If you're going to upgrade from an 11GB card might as well go to the 16GB. Software is only going to use more VRAM so best invest now to get more time out of it.

What monitor resolution would you use?

Ideally, you want to make sure your system has enough available VRAM to handle every scenario in MSFS. Do you fly out of iniBuilds EGLL in the Fenix A320 and if so, do you use 8K textures? Do you use GSX and AI?

If the answer is yes to all of the above, I'd consider 16 GB VRAM (RTX 4070 Ti Super) the bare minimum for 1440p and 24 GB VRAM (RTX 4090) for 4K. I have MSFS on two systems myself, and the 1440p build (RTX 4070 with 12 GB VRAM) is frequently put to the test with little to no memory left when flying into big third party airports.

This - I just upgraded to the 4070ti Super with a Ryzen 7 7800X3D CPU and everything, everywhere on Ultra 4K is butter.

I got the 4070Ti Super recently and it works really well for me using a 2560x1440 monitor resolution and upscaling to 1.78x, DLSS and FG.

If you opt for a 4070Ti, must be the 16 GB “Super”. Non Super is old stock. Unless sold at a massive discount, you will be getting shafted. 4070Ti Super will run everything in the sim at Ultra, liquid smooth in 4K, if paired with a good CPU like 14700K. I know, because that’s what I have. With native Frame Gen on, your FPS is 120 or more, with addon airports and aircraft. Best bang-for-buck by far when it comes to NVidia GPU options right now. But remember, it needs the best CPU you can afford as MSFS is heavily dependent on a single core of the CPU too.

I think you can use this Graficcard aswell for 4K 3840x2160,  shure the 4090 is best but will work good with your card 4070 16GIG..

cheers 😉

Tom's hardware. Price. RAM. Watts. FPS.

Another criteria that may or not be significant is slots: Can you fit the card into your computer (is there room, how wide is the card)? Different brands of the same card can be one and half slots wider for the same card.

The only card that would fit in my computer were about 3 of the dozen or so 4070 cards (slots width). The 4070 was also the most watts I could safely drive with my power supply. That's why I am running a plain 4070.
