Always on. In some places it’s excellent, in other places word not allowed. It hammers the mainthread though, so with airliner flying I might as well tur n it off. Relatively high TLOD is required for the buildings to be fully rendered, and my PC simply can’t handle that in my places when flying airliners. With AutoFPS I have TLOD 50-100 below 1000ft.

Last flight I arrived at EKCH Copenhagen and nearby PG looked terrible (too low TLOD).

I am a low and slow VFR flyer (even though I fly the PMDG 737-600), and I have PG switched OFF. The next generation autogen is light years beyond anything that can be seen in P3D

What is this next generation autogen you speak of?,where can I see it?

.....I have PG off

I leave it off at all times. Sim looks much better without it. The idea is great, execution less so. I'm hopeful we'll all be able to use the technology sometime in the future when the results are satisfactory (visually).

Low and slow for me most of the time, so I keep PG on.  If I was a jet jockey, I would probably turn it off.

The latest TIN photogrammetry is excellent though and from what I've seen it's going to be even better in MSFS 2024 later this year, so really looking forward to that.

Because of the type of flying I do, I have a large amount of freeware PG on my PC too.

Ditto here.  Flying with PG around 1000-3000 ft agl is where its at.  Looks ok in VR though, a little more melty due to my lowered settings..  In 2D it's lovely though.

That’s not how that works. You’re not going to be ‘hacked’

I made a video a while back from Manhattan, increasing TLOD in real-time from 50 to 975 using AutoFPS, and it’s clearly visible what TLOD is required for the buildings to fully render. https://youtu.be/Mk_vbuIK21I?si=CA0xpDMEmUrryjKR

Look forward to check out the PG-cities in the latest city update.

I have it on but the current PG, while good, still is not "helicopter" proof.
The newest PG is nice and can be approached with a low altitude but it still is not good enough to land on a helipad, in a park or a parking place in the middle of a city.
Also taking off of an airfield with a PG city near the boundaries hurt my eyes a bit.
Speaking of cities; PG is also good for surrounding (mountainous) terrain with much higher LOD then without it.

So yes, I like PG but there still is much room to improve.

Are those bridges still rendered like solid blocks with PG enabled?? That alone would stop me from using it.

I leave it on all the time. I did have to uninstall one update in MSFS that affected the runways and taxiways in KDFW..
