Marketplace Problem

Recommended Posts

Why can't I buy from the Marketplace?

I did manage to make couple of a successful purchases a year or so ago but over the past several months when I hit Buy all I see is "Purchase In Progress".

And that's it. I can let it sit there for hours and nothing happens.

I prefer to buy addons outside of the Marketplace but right now there is a decent sale on a couple of aircraft that I would like to get.

Anyone else having this problem?

Just a suggestion - do you have the Steam edition of the game ? If so, do you have the Steam Overlay enabled ? You need it enabled.

Surely not everybody was kung fu fighting.

I do have the Steam version and no, I had not enabled the overlay.

Thanks much! All sorted!

Imagine if there was no cloud from which to get help with computer related problems. Like in early days. Avsim was a telephone dial up service, so perhaps a rudimentary "cloud".

I'm seeing Marketplace unavailable when starting the sim.

Anyone else seeing this? I was wanting to have a look at the popular aircraft sale and poof...no marketplace.

<apology>Sorry for the hijack, but didn't want to start a new thread just to complain</apology>

I just now started booting up MSFS. (3 minutes later) marketplace is available.

I have no connection either in the UK.  Internet is fine, X-box app connects fine but MSFS server is not available so MSFS will only boot up off-line (and hence no Marketplace).

Just the waiting game I suspect.

Yes, there is a server issue right now:

We are currently investigating an outage affecting online services in Microsoft Flight Simulator for PC users who own MSFS through the Microsoft Store.

We’ll provide an update when we have more information to share.

There is no outage here. California. Steam version. All is normal. I just now flew circuits at London City Airport in the Wilga (Wilga is on sale in marketplace). Nothing was greyed out in purchases in marketplace.

It seems odd the MS announcement says problem is for the store version. But I'm Steaming along nicely... And it has been normal for at least two hours here.
