  1. I posted the same problem not that long ago. By following a suggestion near the end of this thread I managed to get logged in: https://www.avsim.com/forums/topic/683066-server-issue-detected/
  2. Tried unplugging the Alpha yoke but that made no difference but by using the "unelegant" solution, I was finally able to log in. Thanks!
  3. I am signed into Windows 11 (25H2) using a Local Account. Opened the Xbox app and signed in. Checked another MS app (Word) and it shows I am logged in to my MS account. I am not using any windows customizing utlities. Still, whether I launch FS2024 from the destop shortcut, from Steam or from the Xbox app, when FS2024 asks my to sign in, I am locked out from entering anything in the box that is asking for my email addrss or phone number. If I click in the sign in box, the words "Enter email or phone number" flash but I cannot enter anything whether I use the keyboard or a copy paste. Thanks for your help so far, Jonathon but I am still totally puzzled by what is going on.
  4. Thanks Jonathan. Will give your suggestions a try tomorrow.
  5. Tried a reboot or three. Tried full screen and windowed modes. Still no joy. Stumped. Good thing I kept FS2020.
  6. I bit the bullet a few hours ago and bought FS2024 (Steam) while keeping my FS2020 intact. When I launch FS2024, I am being asked to sign in to my Microsoft account but I am unable to enter anything into the sign in box. Could it be that the server issues being reported here are prohibiting me from signing in?
  7. I said in a thread a couple months ago that I planned to wait at least 3 months before buying FS2024. Based on what I'm seeing in this forum the launch is even worse than I thought it would be so now I'm thinking more like 6 months. Just not worth the hassle when FS2020 is perectly flyable and still impressive.
  8. I use a webcam with the Beam Eye Tracker and OpenTrack. Works great for me. https://beam.eyeware.tech
  9. I need convincing as well. I just don't get this whole pre-purchase thing at all. Most product launches are plagued with problems anyway. I'll just wait and see how things are going before I buy.
  10. Vsync off in NVCP MSFS profile and ON in the sim settings. With FG off in the LSFG app I get a little tearing when panning. With FG on in the LSFG app I get no tearing.
  11. FWIW I am Super pleased with my 4080 Super. I have FG on in the sim, frames locked at 48 in Riva Tuner and 3X in LSFG for frame a rate of 144 which matches my G-Sync 3440X 1440 monitor refresh rate. Smooth as the proverbial and rarely a stutter.
  12. I have the Pendular pedals. I don't fly the Fenix but you may find this helpful anyway. I could never get the sensitivity settings to work satisfactorily for any aircraft until I started playing with the Extremity Dead Zone. The settings that work beautifully for all my aircraft are: L-AXIS X AND L-AXIS Y: SENSITIVITY - 0%, SENSITIVITY + 0%, DEAD ZONE 6%, NEUTRAL 0%, EXTREMITY DEAD ZONE 9%, REACTIVITY 50% L-AXIS Z: SENSITIVITY - 0%, SENSITIVITY + 0%, DEAD ZONE 2%, NEUTRAL 0%, EXTREMITY DEAD ZONE 29%, REACTIVITY 50%
  13. New releases are always buggy so I never rush into a new install. My plan is to wait at least three months.
  14. I don't use a headset with SI. Instead, I feed ATC audio to a small, separate speaker and I've attached a small lavalier style microphone to my yoke.
  15. In preparation for MSSF 2024 I came across a good deal on another 32 GB RAM Kit so now I have 4 matching 16 GB sticks for a total of 64GB. Currently, with MSFS2020 running, I also run two StreamDecks, Active Sky, Say Intentions, Navigraph Charts, the Steam app, AuthentiKit tuning app, Axis and Ohs, Map enhancement app, LSFG at X3 and FSLTL. MSFS2020 was smooth with excellent frame rates with 32 GB of RAM and going to 64 GB made absolutely no difference whatsoever nor did I expect it to. I am also dubious about the need for 64GB in MSFS20204. Time will tell, I guess.
  16. Thanks for the update, Rich. The "Twinkie" looks great and eagerly awaiting the purchasing problems to get sorted.
  17. I've held off puchasing until the installation problems get sorted. Any news on that front?
  18. I find it hard to believe that a well-established dev like vFlyteAir or a well established flight sim store like Simmarket would be perpetrating any kind of scam. What would either of them ever hope to gain from something like that? Bet its just early release bugs that get sorted out quickly.
  19. Agree totally. I just can't fly without it anymore. FWIW, my son is a RW pilot and a flight simmer. When I showed him SIAI he was very impressed. That said, while traffic in SIAI is way ahead of what is was, it is work in progess to be rolled out incrementally.
  20. Totally agree. Steam version of MSFS2020 has been totally satisfactory so I'll definitely be going with Steam for MSFS2024.
  21. Awsome! I already had Contrail installed. Entered my serial number for the E-Jet package and it installed flawlessly. Thanks a lot!
  22. I use Bitdefender but disabling it (which aslo disables scanning) made no difference.
