June 30, 20241 yr Is there a way to disable the default static aircraft from being displayed in MSFS? I noticed a four engine jet at EGPK Prestwick this morning, and when I checked it out, I realised that it was supposed to be an Airbus A380. Unfortunately, it looked about as much like a real A380 as my car. I would prefer for MSFS to only use the AIG models database for the static aircraft. June 30, 20241 yr The static aircrafts which a part of a airport cant be changed, they are like buildings. Some airports allow configure Settings in 3 party launchers (contrail, inibuilds manager) and to disable the static aircrafts. Sometimes(?) only the aircraft is gone, but the stand is not marked empty, and cant be used by ai aircraft. Statics Aircrafts are the main reason i stopped buying from the MSFS Marketplace. I hope the MSFS 2024 Marketplace give developers the ability to configure the airports and let users turn on/off the statics. Edited June 30, 20241 yr by Merawen

When I set static aircraft to 100%, I see static AI models parked at lots of gates and ramps. These are not the same as the static aircraft that are included in an airport package. I just want to disable the default AI plane models so that they are not used as static aircraft in this situation. The AIG Manager actually disables them when AI planes are active. Then just set them to 0 in the MSFS menu? For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.
June 30, 20241 yr Author That would disable everything, but that is not what I am looking for. I want the AIG models database to be used as static aircraft, but not the default models. Also let's you have default set to zero... G Gary Davies aka "Gazzareth" Simming since 747 on the Acorn Electron
June 30, 20241 yr I recommend not to use the static airplane slider in MSFS at all. It will use fully random airplane to spawn around the airports world-wide. You can end up with a bunch of US regional carriers in the EU. Is there any reason you wan to use static airplanes at all?
June 30, 20241 yr Author Performance would be the obvious answer to that one, Kai! To be fair, I have not activated AI planes yet, but I am the kind of person who wants 100% AI or none at all. AIGTC will spawn only sleeping airplanes at those two airports, while still adding all active airplanes around your whole flight (incl. airports). Example: NY Area: Without limiter 15-20FPS with limiter set to KEWR as destination I get 40-50 FPS.
June 30, 20241 yr Author That sounds interesting, Kai. I will have to check that out. On a side note, there are a handful of airlines where I do not seem to be able to obtain repaints (these are listed below). I assume that there are no other sources for these repaints? June 30, 20241 yr Author Brilliant stuff, Kai! You guys never fail to amaze me 🙂 By the way, where do I activate that traffic limiter for the departure and destination airports? June 30, 20241 yr Just now, Christopher Low said: Brilliant stuff, Kai! You guys never fail to amaze me 🙂 By the way, where do I activate that traffic limiter for the departure and destination airports? main TC-Status-Page under traffic limiter, add the ICAO codes and enter apply
June 30, 20241 yr Author I cannot see a "Traffic Limiter" section. All I see are "Status", "Quick Configuration", and "Ground Operations".
