I'm making progress getting used to the new interface, but the Smart CoPilot option limitations are really tripping me up. I landed at LSZH and could not ask for taxi instructions. When I press the All Options asterisk, nothing changes:

I tried requesting a change from Tower to Ground to see if that would allow me to select an option to request taxi, but neither controller showed the option.

Also, I did the data conversion as per the video, and I can see procedures in the interface, but I cannot see any charts. This is not currently possible, correct?

Some of the color schemes on the map can make the plane very difficult to see. Is there an option to change the color of the plane icon?

Finally, two questions with respect to voices: Is there a way to change the default speed of all the voices at once, rather than selecting each one individually to do so? Ans, have we lost the options have random voices assigned to different controllers?

I am having the same problem. With P2ATC v3 only finding the mouse and not my Yoke. I aslo emailed Dave and hopefully we might get a fix, as it is now we cannot use it.

v0.0.9 is out. Still not able to find/select joystick to assign PPT. P2Aatc only detects mouse.

At present, you would need to first call "Clear of Active".  Then the Taxi Request option should appear.  I will be changing that so you will get the Taxi Request option upon landing.  One of the goals was to limit the options to those that made the most sense for a given controller and Flight State.  Some tweaking of these will be done as we get reports.

I will look into the Asterick not showing all the options for a Controller.  Probably a bug.

Charts are available only for US Airports from the FAA.  Charts are not part of the AIRAC data and Navigraph will not allow us to display their charts in our user interface.

However, you can print charts from any source to PDF files, name them appropriately and set up a folder structure with a folder named as the ICAO code of the airport.  For example, ".../Charts/EGLL" and put all the PDFs for EGLL into that folder with the procedure name as the file name.  Then tell P2A that the Charts folder is "..../Charts" and when you enter EGLL into the Charts ICAO code, it will display a list of all the files it finds in the EGLL folder.

The aircraft Icons can be changed in the Aircraft Profiles to a wide variety of shapes and colors.

There is not a way to change the speed of all voices at once.  Due to the difference in voices, that does not give good results.

Random Voices is the Default in V3.  You cannot assign individual voices to controllers other than ATIS.  You can also assign a voice to your CoPilot.  After that, all voices are assigned randomly.  To get lots of new voices, check out the QuickStart-Settings video.

Thanks Dave. I expected as much, as I'd gotten a prompt when landing of "stay with me until clear of the active," or something like that. 
 

I did transmit clear of active both on the tower frequency as well as ground, once I requested and was approved for a change of controller type. Neither transmission yielded a change in the options being shown.

Have a few questions, but first, congrats on getting the beta version out!! I am still on XPlane 11 and still loving that version. Do I need to install a new version of XPUIPC to use V3 or will the current version I am using for Pilot2ATC V2 suffice? I tried it yesterday but was not getting any ATIS and I know I have it set for Pilot2ATC to provide ATIS just as I do for V2. And, how do I go about setting up the individual controllers? That part has tripped me up a bit. Thanks. Did a bit more work with it and all is working as it should...... so far!!!

Yes, if it is working with V2, you shouldn't have to change XPUIPC or FSUIPC in the SIM.  

Remember that you have to be fully connected with power and Avionics on before you will hear ATIS.

The Individual controller setup is no longer possible.  With the availability of numerous no charge voices, Random Voices is the default in V3.  You can set a single ATIS voice if you like.  And you can set your Copilot's voice.  Otherwise, V3 will set the voices for each controller randomly.

Still having issues with not hearing ATIS. I have unchecked the ignore battery and avionics items in the settings to try to see if that would work but not having any luck. The other stuff seems to be ok but can't say for sure as I have not made it past the initial ATIS and clearance delivery phase. Will keep trying. I examined the log file and it shows an error in the Pilot2ATC_3.View Model.MainWindowVM|Error in MainWindow.ConnectToSIM:System.FormatException: Input string was not in a correct format.

That error could be causing it not to connect fully.

Could you please email that P2A Log file to me at [email protected] and I can take a look at the entire file to see what I can glean.

Hi all, i am using the latest .11 beta (this also happend on previous versions) and i have updated the navigraph databse to the latest one on both the sim and p2atc v3, but somehow i do only get outdated SIDs etc.

It works as expected on p2atc v2 latest version. It also does show the correct AIRAC cycle on the top bar of p2atc v3, but when i import the flight plan from simbrief and file for ifr clearance, i only get old SIDs.

This works still fine with v2 as said above.

I am on XP12, any suggestions? I updated the database with navigraph fms manager, but i also tried to simply cope the data folder from v2 into v3. same result
