From the Black Forest to Lake Constance

I take off from the Freiburg airport. The city can trace its origins back to the 12th century

Above the Feldberg. With 1,493 meters (4,898 ft) it’s the highest mountain in the Black Forest

Above the Titisee, a smallish lake in the Black Forest. It covers an area of 1.3 square km (320 acres) and is an average of 20 m (66 ft) deep

I have now reached Lake Constance

This 45 hectares island in Lake Constance is maintained as a garden island and a model of excellent environmental practices. It is one of the main tourist attractions of Lake Constance. Beside flowers there is a park landscape with views on the lake. There is also a large greenhouse with a tropical climate and thousands of butterflies. It is a little bit like the 22 hectares Butchart Gardens on Vancouver Island

Excellent post. Gave me a fresh perspective on the Black Forest (not flat as I had assumed).

Quite the nasty weather down there, Bernd. Still nice views, of the Mainau for example.

Do you know what these balck spots in #4 were? UFOs?

Cheers, Gerold

Not UFOs Gerold, just large birds 🙂

I lived more than 10 years in the Constance area and have been at all these places. Fond memories, thanks for posting these shots 🙂

Peter

Great set!

LOVE that addon - perhaps the best sound in the entire sim. 🙂

Very nice shots Bernd! 😉

Always enjoy your (expert) excursions, bernd, around Lake Constance and Friedrichshafen ... (one of these days, I will finally get the spelling right w/o copy/paste...🙂...)

Fantastic set from an area both beautiful and historical...thanks for sharing...!

Very nice and interesting set Bernd! 🙂 Friedrichshafen is always a nice airport in the sims, I have a very useable rendition in every sim.
