July 26, 20241 yr After the last update the town is very nice. I have testet the impact on fps over London after the update, and I find that on my system I get better frames now than before. Taking off from EGLC I have steady 30+ fps both at the airport and over Central London flying the TBM 930. But when I start a flight from EGSS I now have less ,15-18 fps. When I fly towards Central London, the frames increase to 25+/-, and when I land at EGLC it is 25-30 fps. I wander if I am the only one experience this, or is it the normal behavior of the sim after the update? Tor Arild Danielsen
July 26, 20241 yr No clue what my FPS are (ever, actually) but it feels pretty good to me. I have a tiny hit having Orbx landmarks still installed, but overall it's more fluid than before. 9950X3D - X870E Aorus Master- TUF 5090 OC - 64GB DDR5 - 1500W HXi - Titan 360 RX LCD - 9100 Pro x 2 - LG 45GX950A - HOTAS Warthog with Ava Base
July 26, 20241 yr I guess that all the photogrammetry is going to have a performance cost. I detect a little fps loss over central London, but nothing that worries me too much. It certainly looks 1000% better, doesn't it. I am still using ORBX London & ORBX GB South. July 26, 20241 yr It does look even better with Orbx London I think. I took GB South off to start with but I'll add it back now. I only noticed that the Tamar Bridge was duplicated. My next door neighbor got the same (we think these POI's are in some way on the "heavy" side). He owns ORBX London Landmarks, made a comparison with and without, and when using it he gets better fps than without. July 27, 20241 yr My specs are below, the hardware is not top notch. I too get much better fps over London post wu xvii. I was flying London days straight before this last wu and got in the 40s and 50s Now I get 60 all day all the time. I have the same commands that by default asobo puts on the mouse for outside view. Only I assigned them to a hat on my stick. So I can just hold the hat right or left and plane will spin round and round until I let go. It stays on 60. This is in one monitor 1440p, not dual monitor. Of course I can't get anything close 60 in VR either (Crystal Light with local dimming). By the way it's easy to make a profile exactly like your main yoke profile only with the hat to spin the plane around. the only time to use the profile is for spinning the plane: it's a great test to see stutters, flutters, low fps. And then go back to your normal profile after running the test. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. Crystal Light VR.
