September 2024 Developer Stream
I'm not triggered but watching this stream and others I find Martial gets annoyed at certain questions and as the executive producer you need to handle the heat and answer all questions, not brush them off.

September 2024 Developer Stream
Martial always seems so annoyed, makes you wonder why so many issues in MSFS2020 are not addressed.

MSFS 2024 vs 2020 system requirements, in a single page
Rendering AI ground textures and physics will come at the expense of the CPU, so there's probably some truth to 'the more cores, the better

MSFS 2024 vs 2020 system requirements, in a single page
I agree. The specs don't make much sense. Plus, we don’t know what the 'ideal' implies in terms of resolution, settings, etc. For all we know, the ideal specs could be for 8K gaming. This is why it’s best to wait until reviewers get their hands on a beta and test it on different hardware.

MSFS 2024 Global Preview Mega Thread
In one of the clips, it was mentioned the sim was running on a 14900K and 4080 Super PC. Despite these 'ideal' specs and claims that MSFS2024 will run on current hardware, I suspect the sim is geared towards next-gen GPUs and CPUs. The 5080/90 should be landing by the end of this year, so I'm holding off on upgrading.

MSFS 2024 Global Preview Mega Thread
It's most likely the ideal spec for 4K flying with max settings. No way you're going to hit 32GB flying in 1080.

MSFS 2024 Global Preview Mega Thread
I've noticed this in other clips with the 737—buildings popping up and melted PG. The ground textures look awful too, though that might be due to the settings. I really hope we're seeing an early beta build because, based on the previews, I’m starting to get nervous that the team might have overpromised.

MSFS 2024 Global Preview Mega Thread
Watched this review and it seems like the PG and default airports look the same. Massive disappointment because I really don't care about career modes and missions, I was hoping the default airports using AI would be updated. Also PG looks the same as MSFS2020.

Microsoft laid off 2,500 video game workers this year.
Some of you are worse than CNN, slapping a 'breaking news' banner on every story. The reality is, tech companies went on a hiring spree during COVID, and now, with demand stabilising and falling back to pre-COVID levels, they have to trim the fat. Unfortunately, that starts with employees.

Censorship in official MSFS forums
Right, it's a certain segment of the population that's hell bent on using freedom of speech and opinions to spread hate. I'd rather the MSFS forums stay as they are and not turn into the cesspool Twitter has become.
-
Censorship in official MSFS forums
The forum is owned and operated by MS so they're going to have strict protocols and censor a lot of stuff that this forum doesn't.

Discover the Aerosoft A330 Preview
Meh, another A330. No thanks. I'll wait for the A350.

MSFS2024 PCGamer interview with Jorg
At some point in the near future, this simulator will be so realistic that in VR, you'll feel like you're flying and walking around in real life.

London Photogrammetry Still Bad
How am I wrong?

London Photogrammetry Still Bad
Streaming PG and scenery from the cloud was the worst discussion MS made for MSFS. It's not worked as attended and instead we're left with melted PG and stutters.
-
London Photogrammetry Still Bad
Yup, I noticed this last night. The weird thing is when I installed the update, PG looked amazing so maybe it's server issue?

Fps over London after WU 17
I've noticed an increase in stutters and I have no add-on's.

iniBuilds A350 Airliner Teaser | Microsoft Flight Simulator
Stunning, but I am worried about performance, especially at complex airports. Maybe we can get a "lite" version or, like they do with their sceneries, an option to remove objects for better performance.

MSFS Official Developer Stream | July 2024
I missed the feed, can some post the highlights?

New iniBuilds A350 teaser images
In regards to short haul flights, Delta had a LAS-MSP flight and Emirates will be using their A350 for flights to India and GCC. Most of these flights will be well under 4 hours.

New iniBuilds A350 teaser images
Supposedly in real life the A350 feels like a A320. In other words, it's an incredible plane to fly so hopefully the sim version is the same.

New iniBuilds A350 teaser images
FINALLY. I can't wait to fly this bird, the A350 is an incredible aircraft.

Quality of iniBuilds airports
I use FG, so I need to use DX12. Even without FG, I get better FPS on DX12 compared to DX11. The issue with a lot of MSFS scenery developers is that they rush out products that aren't optimized which means the end user basically has to wait for fixes throughout the year to get half decent performance.

Quality of iniBuilds airports
I easily hit 12GB of VRAM using DX12. The biggest issue isn't the frames; it's the stutters. It’s still beyond me why experienced developers like iniBuilds continue to release airports that are way too complex for the sim. The majority of us just want a nice airport we can fly into without worrying about FPS and stutters.

Couldn't sign you in to XBox Live...
I would but there's people out there who've actually re-installed windows because of this issue.
