September 10, 20241 yr Here's a quick little hop I had done a little while back - a repositioning flight taking our little Honda Jet from Minneapolis to Flying Cloud to grab some pax. Hope you enjoy! This unique livery is quite the looker We're off 30L for a quick vector to the visual 28L at KFCM In the turn over the cargo ramp Over Cedar Ave (77) and the Mall of America off to the south side of the field Over Bush Lake as we are cleared for the visual 28L at FCM, switching to tower The Flying Cloud tower is scheduled for a new building sometime "soon" - it's one of the oldest in the US - mostly it's distance from the runways makes it difficult for controllers to see which runway aircraft are lined up for... Parked at Premier Jet - now where are those pax??? | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |

Didn't know about Flying Cloud...always fond of little (less-known) airports ...thanks for sharing...! Yeah there are many smaller airports (typically referred to as "relievers") very close to the large class B primary airports in the US. KFCM, during covid, was one of the busiest in the entire USA (top 10 for a few days on end when I was working there!) Most people don't know much about these airports because they rarely handle commercial airliners, but are nearly as busy as larger airports, in terms of operations per hour. And, many of the operations are flight instruction, which can be some of the most difficult traffic to work as ATC 😉 | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
