September 22, 20241 yr Thank you HiFlyer! Quest 2 and Quest 3: another reason to have one of those 2 headsets. Q3 is clearly one of the best of any headset for MSFS too (unless you want to pay a whole lot more) 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. There's so many reviews coming out on YouTube it's obvious what headset is standing out for PC simulation at this point. I have a Crystal Light myself. On a scale of 1 to 10, I rate it an 11. I see no faults, but others are having problems with quality control. I do believe it gives better fps than Q3. It gives a little better fps than my old G2 did, and way way better fps than my old Q2 did. The Q3 is still great. Has great pass through to see your controllers, a thousand other titles to play, no cord, that ASW thing to double framerates by a sort of frame generation scheme (or something like that), it's smaller and looks less cartoonish on your head, and has a wider choice of ocular separation. The lens separation can be adjusted closer together for women and children, or very wide. I think maybe it has better quality control, less likely to have defects than the QL. But I would not trade my CL for any Quest. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. September 23, 20241 yr Apparently, 2024 VR will have built in native Fixed Foveated Rendering. As an aside 2024 will have auto fps. 1:40 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. September 23, 20241 yr Dynamic Foveated Rendering would not be possible with the Crystal Light, but is possible on the Crystal. The fps increase would be even higher. But nobody knows if MSFS 2024 will have Dynamic Foveated Rendering built in. It will have Fixed Foveated Rendering native and built in. FS2020 does not. I don't have DCS combat sim, but it already does have DFR native. With the expensive version of Crystal headset, when you turn that on fps increase is enormous (or so they say). The light Crystal doesn't do DFR.
