Well, I have tried the options, especially with ILO disconnected and PT Only, to find out that the "maxfit" (6 or 8 or 24) doesn't matter. PSXT always injects 6 or  7 planes. Today, for example, in Montreal, Flightradar24 and realtraffic say that in the last 70 minutes 50 planes have landed. However PSXT only injects 6. The same was done in jkfk. 
 

Without wanting to look like a melancholic, before, with the learning center, I arrived at the airport and 85 /90 percent of planes were there. In addition, throughout the trip, he was informing us of the updates. Would it be possible kiek, a redefinition of those options?
 

the new server RT V4 doesnt seem to be more clever than the last one, in terms of live parked. Thank you.

I think it is very airport dependent. I regularly get circa 70-80 at EGLL (ILO off, PT-only ticked, and Max fit 24). Most European airports and those in Australia that I have checked have good parking numbers. I do agree, however, that the parking coverage is not complete.

Thank you for clarifying that the lack of PT-only parked aircraft at an airport is a RTv4 issue, not PSXT. A quote from the release notes: RT knows the aircraft that are still parked at the airport, up to 24 hours, and PSXT parks them at the correct gates. Currently, RT does not know all the aircraft that should be parked, but improvements are expected! 

Has RT given any indication of when improvements will be delivered?

No, that is the wrong direction (and a lot of work for me). It is RT that has to improve, then all will benefit ( LiveTraffic for X-plane too).

That's  correct. What is new about the server is the IT environment, not the real time traffic data from data providers. You must see exactly the same live parked as before.

Yes, just like the other parking optiions the value of "PT only" is saved in your learned airport file and will show up the next time you are at that airport...

See the Manual chapter 12

**) The value is stored in your Learned airport file. The value in the learned file overrules (but not changes) the value of it in the parameters.xml file when the airport file is loaded. This way you can set different values for different airports.

 

I ran some tests over the last weekend - it seems like PT only option works best in european airports. EGLL, EDDF and EHAM were literally crowded, while KJFK and KBOS had about 15-20 planes sitting at the gates. MaxFit value set to 24 typically adds 2-3 more planes, but that's all.

Yeah, leave it at 24 if in PT only mode.

I noted this as well. KJFK was much less crowded than it should have been. EGLL was a lot better. I have decided against using the option due to the spottiness of it working as intended.

Just for clarification to prevent confusion:  Parked traffic from RT is always used (up to Max fit), so also if "PT only" is not checked.

Thanks for the correction! Yes, I knew that but had a lapse in what I wrote. I meant that with it checked, I see less parked traffic than I want in KJFK and others that I would expect to have more PT-originated planes.

Yeah, Balthasar has to improve his algorithms. It will take time, but at the end of the day I hope we can work with PT only and get rid off the airport files.
