  • Download and use the New Nvidia APP. https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/software/nvidia-app/

  • Two suggestions, although I have installed but didn't yet start it for the 1st time: 1) Enable VSync in game and see if that makes a difference; 2) Use Riva Tuner to set the FPS you want, ev

  • Yeah, realized this as well: they release a driver specifically for MSFS2024 but in the nVIDIA Control Panel, MSFS2024 is not listed. Somehow ridiculous, like the whole release of this sim.  Funn

Re. New Nividia App and firewall settings:

When I started MSFS2024 for first time the new Nvidia App didn't recognize the game so not seeing any spesific MSFS2024-settings.

When I had to re-install MSFS2024 I "discovered" there is a popup in relation to the Windows Defender FIREWALL-setting that asks for permission:

"Do you Accept MSFS to connect to:"

   [ x] Public Networks

   [ ] Private networks

<< So I chose both PRIVATE and PULICc Network,

and discovered that MSFS2024 graphic settings now was avaliable inside Nviodia App

BUT: I don't know for certain that it wa this firewall-tuning that this DID the trick, as the Nvidia app also updated itself during process...

(search for "Let an App through the firewall" in your Windows search ... (Control Panel / All Apps / /Windows Defender Firewall / Allowed Apps / ... )

I have a big problem with temperature and performance too, I'm capped at 18fps, I don't understand what's happening...

With the C172 it's okay a bit, but as soon as I switch to 321 or 330, it's over.

I also put the Vsync via NCP...

Ok, all of the sudden, my nVIDIA filters do not work anymore in MSFS 2024 because this stupid app tells me that I must start a supported game. It did work some days ago, nothing changed. And if I want to manually add flightsimulator2024.exe, it tells me that I am not allowed to open this .exe, ridiculous. I will try it via the old NVCP...

AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, 2x32GB DDR5 6000MT/s RAM, MSI RTX 4090 Ventus 3X, Windows 11 Home, MSFS2024

If you had them working you were fortunate, I haven't been able to use them at all with MSFS2024, and it's driving me crazy. I think Nvidia "broke" the feature with the new 566.14 driver, which is kind of weird considering the driver is supposed to be optimized for the new sim. You would think the filters wouldn't be compromised but they are.

I have applied the old registry hack to reinstate the sharpening feature for NVCP but that doesn't have any effect on the sim either. I'm kind of stumped...

I think I'm going to try Reshade and see if that will work, at least until the filters issue is resolved in a future driver, hopefully next week.

I know there's going to be someone who will say the sim looks fine the way it is, but I prefer a little bit of sharpening and a few other adjustments to suit my visual taste.

I installed via Steam Nvidia App recognizes FS24' but will not optimize it, for whatever reason FS24 isn't on the Nvidia App supported list, but FS20 is, Nvidia App recognizes FS20 and will optimize it, but not FS24.
