NVIDIA AND GEFORCE ISSUES WITH MS2024

Featured Replies

Hi,

The Nvidia app didn’t work for me with MS2020 and I think it won’t work with MS2024. Without Geforce or Nvidia apps I can’t configure the filters, for instance.

Another problem is the Nvidia Panel. It does not recognize MS2024.

I blame Asobo-Microsoft for not having these issues solved.  Perhaps a beta could have been necessary, don’t you think?

Greetings

  • Download and use the New Nvidia APP. https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/software/nvidia-app/

  • Two suggestions, although I have installed but didn't yet start it for the 1st time: 1) Enable VSync in game and see if that makes a difference; 2) Use Riva Tuner to set the FPS you want, ev

  • Yeah, realized this as well: they release a driver specifically for MSFS2024 but in the nVIDIA Control Panel, MSFS2024 is not listed. Somehow ridiculous, like the whole release of this sim.  Funn

Anyone had any luck adding mSFS24 to the nVidia App? I keep getting Access Denied and when I go through the (hell) of Security & Permissions via Explorer the exe file is not playing ball, says I have Full Control but clearly not so guessing this si why it can't be added to the nVidia app (PITA)

Same here, although 2024 is not listed on the 'supported games' list on the Nvidia website, only 2020.

yeah I just went there to check and saw the same, you'd think it would be supported as they released the driver earlier this week specifically with MSFS24 details, I'll await that but it's sooo annoying having to set max fps globally as I'll forget it for other games!

Make a shortcut for MSFS2024 located on for example Your desktop and then point the Nvidia app to it !

Forget that "shortcut" thing I thought it worked as it showed up in list, but it did'nt

Hi,

Have you tested the new NVIDIA app with MS2024?

Did it work?

I need to know before install it.

Thank you

I installed the new app circa 7 days ago, then my Starlink Internet crashed needing a new cable. Starlink sent a foc cable via DHL which arrived 1700h today.  I then downloaded 2024 in 15 minutes, got stuck at 97% so exited and restarted and within 5 minutes was in 2024 playing about with settings. It is up to you but the new nvidia app worked fine for me.

I had exactly the same problem.  Nowadays MIcrosoft likes putting apps in a folder where even I as an admin on my own machine can't access properly!!!
C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\Microsoft.Limitless_1.1.7.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe

I've changed ownership of the folder to myself but it still says I'm not allowed to add it "You don't have permission to open this file".

THis may be normal though as I've just tried the same with FS 2020 (C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_1.38.2.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe) and I get the same message.

So apparently in the original nVidia Control Panel you add a new program called 'Microsoft Limitless' or something and that works, will check this evening, I'll add this to the long list of "Why Asobo? Why?" bizarre design decisions.

I've managed to get FS2024 installed and begin the process of mapping my control device, etc. One thing I noticed is that Nvidia Filters is not working properly with the new sim. I hope this gets resolved quickly, I really don't want to use Reshade to get the "look" I like in FS.

It was named differently, I'll check later what it was and report back.

It's called;

Microsoft.limitless_<lots of letters and numbers> (Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024)

I'm using MS Store installation (unfortunately!)
