November 21, 20241 yr I set up the flight with only a 200 lb pilot on board, and yet, when I look to the right, I see someone sitting next to me.. How do I dump this unwanted passenger? Bert
November 21, 20241 yr Hi Bert! You need to go to the part of the UI where you can set up your own character. There's a place there where you can customize your copilot. There you can select "No copilot" or something like that. Im not in front of my computer put those are the general steps Edit: Ok, i went to my pc before going to bed. These are the steps: Upper right corner: Click on your user name. Left side of the screen: Click on Customize Identity Click "Co-Pilot" Select the first option to the left Click "Save and Back" That should get rid of the poor guy Edited November 21, 20241 yr by xender Juan Ramos
November 21, 20241 yr So far this is the best tip by a mile for MSFS2024. November 21, 20241 yr Hi, I can't get rid of the copilot. When I try to do it, it pops up the following message: "You can't modify the character outside the main menu". ? Thank you, anyway!

I seriously don't know why so many people seem to dislike or even hate it... Probably simply because it's new? The 2024 GUI is GREAT! No, because it's a mess. I didn't mean the whole interface, some parts of it are actually nice, but the aircraft selection screen is pure rubbish (extremely confusing, unorganized, against all UI rules, etc) and the airport selection screen, while not as bad, it is definitely worse as it is more complicated. Then there's this "Back and Save" thing all over the interface which is counter-intuitive and, again, most of the interaction is time wasting. Don't get me started on the control configuration pages. Those surpass everything i've seen, it's a perfect example on how to NOT do user interfaces. I have said this somewhere else, i am a software architect / software developer / that kind of stuff... If something like this would come under my approval it would have to be rejected. Breaks so many rules i am even puzzled to see something like this being made avaliable to the public. I hope this addresses the "Probably simply because it's new" comment well enough. November 21, 20241 yr The interface is 100% set up for an XBox controller. If you are an XBox user, you probably find it to be better than before. 9950X3D - X870E Aorus Master- TUF 5090 OC - 64GB DDR5 - 1500W HXi - Titan 360 RX LCD - 9100 Pro x 2 - LG 45GX950A - HOTAS Warthog with Ava Base
