November 27, 20241 yr I don’t have 2024 installed but I watched this video this morning and saved it. Excellent comparisons showing the different looks and impacts of various graphics settings. Some of the settings have very little difference in performance between low and ultra settings, while some have big impact difference but look almost just as good at a lower setting. One of the best of this type of video I have ever seen.

November 27, 20241 yr An exceptional video for comparison. My take is (if you have a mid-range system, say 3070 to 4080)... Buildings = High Trees = High Plants = Medium or High Grass = High or Ultra Rocks = High or Ultra (ultra looks a little better) Volumetric Clouds = High or Ultra (but not that much perf savings to go high) Texture Resolution = Ultra Antistropic Filtering = 16x Texture Supersampling = 8x Waves = High Raytraced Shadows = Off Shadow Maps = 2048 Terrain Shadows = 512 or 1024 Contact Shadows = Ultra Ambient Occlusion = Ultra Cubemap Reflections = High Raymarched Reflections = Ultra Light Shafts = Ultra Cockpit Refresh Rate = Med or High Airport Traffic = Med or Ultra Road Traffic = Ultra Upscaling = Quality DLSS or TAA TLOD = 100 to 150 OLOD = 100 to 200 Off-Screen Terrain Pre-Caching = Medium, High, or Ultra (cannot tell enough from his video on this one) Displacement Mapping = Off (kills frame rates) AMD 5800x | Nvidia 3080 (12gb) | 64gb ram

November 30, 20241 yr Great video, very helpful thanks. Surprised that some settings have little impact on performance, look forward to playing around in the settings (again).
