PMDG 777F MSFS 2020 Released Dec 6

Featured Replies

Reading the forums, the door alarm if folks have both the 77w and 77l installed may not be fixed.

Also, it's clear even getting the 777 to 24 is going to be a long run. Even before this latest setback, Mathijs posted on the Discord they want to add 24 features and it won't be a quick port.

I think we are really looking at late spring.

As a note, INI had the SDK for a while and it still took them 3 weeks to get the 2024 Premium version out the door. We are gonna need a lot of patience with getting our toys in the new sim.

  • Sixteen pages of threads...and plenty of nay-sayers. Nothing invokes more emotion here on Avsim than a thread involving either PMDG or FSLabs. I bought the 777F on day one...not my usual MO.

  • I ordered a burger for lunch today and when I ordered a second one, they tried to charge me the full price. I said no thank you and walked out. I'll never go back again after being treated that way.

  • That's a crock of word not allowed

MSFS will probably have about 20 updates in the next 6 months.

Probably best if they take their time for the conversion.

That way they wont have to do 20 updates to fix whatever MSFS breaks every time they do an update.

I am staying with 2020 for now. Using 2024 mainly for VFR flights with GA planes. Some of those are working pretty well

If you only have the 77W, door alarm is fixed.

I hate bugs, and troubleshooting things that go wrong. I just want to fly with no problems, so I am staying with FS2020 for a long time, I would think.

All the upgrades in the world don't offset the confidence of knowing you are going to have a good reliable flight in my eyes...

I have limited time to fly so just want things to be predictable and consistent.  2020 is rock solid and consistent for me whether it's a 2 hour flight or a 12 hour flight and if I lose my internet connection my flight keeps going without online services.  Sometimes old reliable still trumps all the new flashiness if the flashiness is inconsistent...

Apart from launch week, i have yet to have any flight fail. Whether from KJFK-EGLL FBW A380, to numerous hops across Europe mainly in the Fenix A320/A319. . Clouds and weather are by far better than 2020, as is the performance. Where i was getting around 30fps at major hubs around the World, i now get 60-68 fps. Yes there's bugs with a lot of the default aircraft, but i fully expect them to improve in time.

While I'm very happy for you and your personal experience that has nothing to do with the 777 in 2020 so we really don't need someone jumping in just to tell us how 2024 is far better when some of us have tried it ourselves and found it does not meet our current expectations nor did you address the comment about the flight continuing with a dropped connection and seeing we can't even use the 777 add-on in question in 24 your post is not even relevant to this particular discussion but thank you for coming to let us know 2024 is far better.  🤦‍♂️

Oh so sorry , ya muppet

Explain to me why so many people on three forums and Facebook say that FS 2024 is a pile of word not allowed?

Please don't let this turn into another hijacked thread.

If someone's only response to a valid point that there post was out of place is to start name calling they aren't even worth the response...

Back to the topic at hand.  Does the 777 feel smoother for anyone else?

I never had any performance issues but on my last flight even leaving Newark the performance was so good I actually forgot to even enable lossless scaling.  It was just natively stutter free and completely smooth...

Haven't tried any other planes in a while so wondering if it is just the 777 performance is really that good...
