MSFS2024 Patch 1.2.7.0 and NZA airports issue?

Featured Replies

Hi all. Is anyone having issues with some NZA airports since the MSFS20204 patch today? Until today I have not had any issues with NZA airports. I have all the NZ airports installed through Orbx . However since the latest patch which takes MSFS 2024 to 1.2.7.0 the following NZA airports either CTD when trying to load or if they do load the sim runs at extremely low FPS (less than 5). The airports which are giving me issues are NZNS, NZCH, NZNR. (I have also tried NZMF, NZWF and NZTG which seam to be fine), Note I dont believe its my system, it is a intel I9 with a 4090 NVIDIA card and as I noted its has ran all the NZA airports fine until today. Also all other airports I have tried so far are working perfectly. Thanks in advance if you can help. best wishes. Bob

Interesting, as my ORBX still shows only four of my products ready for installation into MSFS2024 and none of the NZA airports you listed. So how did you got those installed into MSFS2024 "through ORBX"?

Yes, stutters at NZNR (purchased from NZA) after the last patch (no CTD). Maybe a NZA library problem.

Hi @AnkH if you bought them through ORBX you need to repurchase then for $0.00 for MSFS2024 then you can install them through Orbx Central.  I think only NZMC is not yet available through Orbx to install.

As a quick update.

I reached out to NZA who have already replied confirming  an issue with several of the NZA airports since the 1.2.7.0 patch.  NZA are currently investigating.

I guess these are the issues we are going to get with the new sim for quite a while yet?

However I have disabled the airports which gave me the issues and now all appears to be fine.  I am confident NZA will rectify the issue in good time.

Best wishes.

Oh gosh, I guess this is true for more addons, not only the NZA stuff? If yes, no wonder that the "my products" list in the MSFS2024 branch of ORBX is so empty, was totally not aware of this, thanks for pointing it out to me.

Hi all

I received an update from NZA.

NZA have checked and it is NOT NZA NZNS causing the issue.

NZA disabled NZNS and the issue is still there.  I also checked and can confirm at NZNS with or without NZA NZNS active there is a massive FPS drop at this location.

NZA have raised the issue with Microsoft so we will have to wait and see what happens.

As a proud Kiwi who almost only flies in NZ I guess its back to MSFS2020 for a while . Not such a bad thing as MSFS2020 is still is a marvelous sim.

Best wishes.

This caught me out, too. I wouldn't have noticed this if they hadn't initially enabled some of the airports in Orbx Central for 2024 and then removed them. When I posted a question about that, Nick at Orbx explained the "repurchase" thing.

There's a thread with a list of 2024-compatible products here. The first post contains the current list of products, and a new post is added whenever they add to the list, so you get notified if your subscribe to the thread.

I bought all my NZA sceneries directly from NZA, but will check through all of them for performance issues.

One thing I did find, however, was the some lines of pebbles etc. at NZMF were elevated about 100ft above the terrain.

Hi all

FYI Microsoft/ Asobo  have replied to NZA

This issue has been fixed last week on our development branch - I have just integrated the changelist in the equivalent of the 1.2.7.0 branch and I can confirm that the hiccups (CPU/GPU) have gone at that airport.
Unfortunately I have no ETA yet for the next patch. :frowning:

Best regards,

Eric / Asobo

@ Hi Adam

How are you enjoying MSFS2024?

Apart from the first day malarkey I think its very impressive.

Re NZNS.  Sods law would have it that it was the first flight I tried after the 1.2.7.0 update.  I spent the next while trying to figure our where my all my  FPS have gone.  Only to now find out Asobo are aware of the issue and it has already been fixed in house, but no clue when it will be fixed for us.  Not to worry we can avoid this area for a while.

We will have to have a catch up and compare notes.

best wishes.

Bob

Well, that's quite weird, my perfs are not that bad at NZNS after today's update.
All settings on Ultra.

CPU/GPU are OK too.

The funny thing is: I have four or so products installed in my MSFS2024 page on ORBX, but this list never changed so I was puzzled about what is going on. Now I know 😉

Wow! 75% VRAM usage on a 4090! that's huge.

Indeed !
But it doesn't depend on the scenery.

And that's the right behavior IMO.
The more VRAM the card has and the more it uses.

How did I quote myself?? 😄
