Also the animation with the freeflight and earth zoom in when VRAM is only 10 procent is nothing else then stutters.
While MSFS2020 is smooth !!!

MSI Tomahawk Z790, I7-13700K, DDR5 6000mhz, MSI 4090, 3x SSD 980 PRO, Corsair 360 Liguid CPU cooler, Corsair H1200V2 power.

Very smooth here.

i910900k, RTX 3090, 32GB DDR4 RAM, AW3423DW, Ruddy girt big mug of Yorkshire Tea

I had much worse performance after the 1.2.7.0 update. Didn't make sense at all.

I then updated to the latest DLSS and cleared the shader cache*. The difference was huge:

*I emptied the contents of these folders (after setting shader cache size to disabled in NCP then a reboot):

  • %userProfile%\AppData\LocalLow\NVIDIA\PerDriverVersion\DXCache
  • %localAppData%\NVIDIA\GLCache
  • %localAppData%\D3DSCache

I'm running MSFS 2024 on medium/high settings (optimized through the Nvidia app) on a 1440p ultra widescreen monitor - smooth as silk. I have a 3060ti.

How have you optimized through the Nvidia app?  It doesn't even show up on mine.

I completely uninstalled the previous version then reinstalled the latest version. Then MSFS 2024 showed up.
