December 13, 20241 yr I open the Market Place and then Library and then check the 2020 Box. I need help understanding several things in the following image: 1. What does Not Available mean? 2. Where is the sim finding these addons? None, not a one, is in my 2020 Community Folder. I cannot even find the VFR objects anywhere in any folder. Some of the addons are on my D drive and some on the I drive but none of them are in a common folder. 3. I never downloaded the Ford 4-AT Trimotor so why does it appear in this list? 4. What is the planned or expected use of the MSFS 2020 library? I currently use AddOnLinker to symbolically move 2020 addons to the 2024 Community. Is that not the way I should be doing it? AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D / MSI X870 Tomahawk Mobo / 64 GB DDR5 memory / RTX 4070 Super with 12 GB VRAM / AORUS FO48U 4k display NVMe for Drive C, an NVMe device dedicated to Flight Sim 2024 and a separate NVMe device for Flight Sim 2020 and an NVMe dedicated to 500GB of addons managed by AddonsLinker / 1 GB Comcast Xfinity Internet connection / HP Reverb G2 / Tobii 5 Head & Eye Tracking
December 13, 20241 yr Marketplace aircraft are currently in the cloud. You can place addons in the Community folder. Bert
December 14, 20241 yr I have a bit of a problem understanding how it works too (2024 only). When I first looked at the library, I played around a bit with stuff which was available, set some to disabled to see what it would do. But afterwards I could not set the stuff I disabled back to enabled for a reason I just don't know. Even the Base Content showed up as being not available although I was inside the game and actually could fly stuff without a problem. What's more weird is that some stuff I set to disabled is actually re-enabled on the next boot without me re-enabling it and other stuff, like World Update II: USA and World Update III: UK, which I set to disabled, still show as disabled when I press to show disabled only with no option to set it enabled but... also show up in the enabled list as being streamed? Maybe that's why I can't set them enabled again, because they are, but then should not be in the disabled list. Confusing... December 14, 20241 yr 1. It means "Not available". Marketplace items you owned have been switched off for the time being as there were compatibility issues that caused crashes. They are going to review all of them before they make them available again. 2. They are in the cloud linked to your X-Box account. 3. The Tri-Motor was part of the 40th Aniversary Edtion and whether you downloaded it or not, you have now access to it like all of us. 4. The library works exactly as it used to in MSFS. No one is stopping you from using Add-On linker.
