DLSS Frame Generation Missing

Featured Replies

Anyone else have this problem?  It is no longer in the sim settings?  Performance is horrible.

For 20 or 24?  Seems to work fine in 24.  Haven't ran 20 in a while

2024...I reinstalled the Nvidia App and it is still missing

FG setting has nothing to do with the nVidia app. What's your GPU?

Are you using the universal version of FG ?  This is the version working with 24.

When you use universal version, FG option will be visible in MS options.

(Can be downloaded from the same location on nexusmods, as I remember )

I tried putting them in install directory and still not present.  Even added dlssg to fsr3 from github.

Never had this happen before so not sure why it has just disappeared.

The odd thing is in the Nvidia App there is an option to optimize MSFS.  It showed that I have the AMD on and suggested its DLSS.  So I let it optimize and loaded sim.  Still no DLSS.  There is an active frame generation tab though.

Make sure HAG is on in Windows !!!
You enable FG in the settings of MSFS and not in NVIDIA app

MSI Tomahawk Z790, I7-13700K, DDR5 6000mhz, MSI 4090, 3x SSD 980 PRO, Corsair 360 Liguid CPU cooler, Corsair H1200V2 power.

it will be disabled if MSFS does not have focus and if another window lies ontop of MSFS.

How To Enable Hardware-Accelerated GPU Scheduling

Introduced in Windows 10 May 2020 update, hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling enables Windows to offload most of the GPU scheduling tasks to a dedicated GPU-based scheduling processor. In Windows 10 we need to enable this feature, Windows 11 automatically enables hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling.

I do not remember well but if you update your Nvidia Drivers or something similar, you need to run the batch file of FG again (located next to the .dll's) in the FG  folder, to bypass Nvidia Checks and use AMD-better-DLSS. I hope this helps.

( I am far from my sim PC at the moment, so these are what I remember )

Yep...the problem is the DLSS option is not showing in the sim. Just the frame generation tab.

Here's the folder.  There is no batch file.  Plus there are several folders with the same files.

I am not able to view your images from the link. Anyway, did you download the UniversalVersion of Frame Generation from Nexusmods?

After unzipping, there are two batch files in that folder . Onebatch file bypasses the Nvidia Checks and the other is to restore this bypass if you do not want to use FG anymore. And a Read-Me file. Please read that Read-Me

Got the image working so you should see it now.  You will see there are 5 folders and no batch.  Where is the batch?
