I used to own a Hot Rod 68 Mustang Fastback before I bought my first and only new car a 1982 Capri RS 5.0.

My first new car I bought when I got out of the Navy was a 1972 Mercury Capri!  Loved it!

Just going to run a Chromebook and not upgrade to a Windows computer. Too many problems with the new Sims! 😱
Trying to keep peace and harmony and the will of Landru on the site seems to be a full time job!

And the Ford Capri was popular in the UK up to about 1986.

Looked very similar.

One Christmas present I forgot to mention.  Not mine, but my daughter-in-law's.

Is it, unapologetically, a spear.  All black, made of fairly heavy metal including the handle, and a blade that reminded me of the military bayonets I used in the Army.

It's for snakes and probably other varmints when they don't want to use a gun for whatever reason.  It's too heavy to throw, so it's main use is for thrusting. It's got enough weight behind it so that it doesn't rely on muscle power alone for penetration, but it won't be particularly agile.

At least, that's what I was told. I should probably show my son the various bayonet drills they taught us in basic training.

I'm getting ahead on presents for next Christmas.  I bought 4 strings of these slow blinking twinkle lights:

Be sure to watch the videos.

The lights came in a few days ago, and yesterday after removing all the other decorations from the tree my wife put these lights on while I was taking a nap.

I woke up, it was dark, wife was in bed. I turned off all the other lights in the house and just sat and watched these new lights for over a half hour. Both cats and the dog sat with me for part of it.

Now this... THIS... is what Christmas trees should look like.

Why let my wife do all the work?  Well, the Christmas tree is HER domain and I'm not allowed to get involved. 🙂 I'm lucky she accepts the twinkle lights.
