I can actually eat meat as long as it tenderized properly.

You'd be surprised at what you can eat without teeth.  I had to have mine removed a few years ago.  Got dentures, but can't wear the lower ones so  I don't bother with the uppers either.

I can eat pretty much anything that isn't tough or crunchy. Nuts? Celery? Not without running them through a grater. Pizza? Not a problem! 😄 I pull onions and green pepper off first. Mushrooms are borderline. Hamburgers? Well, onions and to some extent pickles and tomatoes cause issues. Fritos, potato chips, all are good. Chinese? Pretty much everything is ok, fried wonton just gotta go slow.

You'll get used to it, Fr. Bill. Fear not!

My wife bought me a terrys chocolate orange, I put it on the mantle piece this morning, fancied a piece tonight went to get it only to find it missing. I located the foil wrapper behind the settee which can mean only one thing ….DOG !

Sadly, it would appear that yet again Santa was unable to get the sixty foot luxury yacht that I really deserve down the chimney.

 I find this inexplicable….

A training jersey from the Argentina football team and a little 1:43 F1 car that can be controlled with the phone. I've even learned to perform some doughnuts with it. Maturity? Sorry, what's that? 😂

Whaat? You too? 😂

I've always thought Jan 10th is not a common birthday, and that only Feb 29th is less common.

I'm in the same boat as you  Hook. I need a bottom denture like Father Bill needs. I allways eat without my denture .Thick pork chops are my favorite since the meat is tender. Corn on the cob is no problem .

Hey, I've been through that one!

When the bandages came off, the first thing I noticed was that everything was brighter, bluer and had texture. I had to lower the resolution on my monitor prior to surgery and use the Magnifier.  Suddenly things were back to normal. It doesn't have to be Christmas to get some of the best gifts of all.

I read once that chocolate's 50% toxic point was 8 ounces for a medium dog.  I calculated that as equivalent to 4 pounds for me.  Heck, if I ate 4 pounds of chocolate I'd be pretty darn sick myself!

Not that I probably haven't tried some time in the past.

If you drop an M&M on the floor and Puppy scarfs it down before you can retrieve it, he'll likely be OK.  Other things that are toxic to dogs are garlic and grapes.  I read that this is one reason we don't have grape flavored ice cream.  (Probably garlic as well, although it wouldn't be as popular.) Someone actually did figure out how to make grape ice cream though. Chocolate ice cream doesn't seem to be as much of a problem for some reason. 🙂

If Doggy isn't already Tango Uniform he'll probably be OK, but you might find a mess somewhere. Best overall to keep the holiday sweets away from Rover.

PS. If doggy acts sick, with or without vomiting after eating chocolate, see the vet.

We did Christmas late.  My absolute favorite present, possibly for my entire life, was a small figurine of an orange cat.  Grooming himself.  Actually, licking his nether regions. Even has a little pink tongue, but you have to look close. If I eventually get over the food coma, I may post a picture if I can do it justice.

Google "picture of cat licking itself" for a preview.

It currently resides in a place of honor on my computer desk previously held by a matchbox 1964 Ford GT-40 with display case and next to a 3" miniature Coke bottle I found in a drawer somewhere.

She got me an appointment with the rain gutter cleaning crew so I won't have to do it myself. We live in a two story and I hate going way up there.

I can't get over that strange Iceland belief that a gigantic cat will come and rip you apart if you don't get some kind of new clothes for Christmas. It's not as nice and friendly holiday story like Dickens Christmas Carol.

The pesky animal was his normal mad self this morning, he’s a dalmador half Dalmatian half Labrador so a bit mad. I deliberately put my chocolate orange up on the mantle piece so he couldn’t get it, he’s obviously developed a method of retrieval.

He did leave a small pile of vomit as a present though. ( wife now cleaning up 🤣)

Incidentally the Stinking rose restaurant in San Francisco used to do garlic ice cream.
