January 5, 20251 yr I've googled this to no avail. I'm currently using the XP12 built in frame rate monitor, and it's ok but it shows a lot more than what I need. All I really want to see in the display is FPS and VRAM usage. I was hoping there would be a small plugin or lua script that would provide this, similar to how P3Dv5 displays it. Does anyone know if this is possible. All I need to se is for example, FPS = 30 VRAM = 6 mb. Honeycomb Alpha & Bravo, Thrustmaster TFRP. It's an older machine but gets the job done quite nicely - smooth with no stutters!
January 5, 20251 yr What video card do you use? Nvidia has the profile you can activate. System Spec 1: Nvidia RTX 4090, AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D, Res 5120x1440, HP Reverb G2System Spec 2: AMD Radeon RX 7900XT, Intel I-9 9990K, Res 3840x1080, HP Reverb G2

January 5, 20251 yr Author RTX 2060. I don't see where inspector offers fps display, only control/limiter. I found that the nvidia GE Force Experience has an overlay that can display fps, but I'm not certain I want to use that. I was just hoping there was a simple plugin that would do this. It's not a big deal, though. January 6, 20251 yr As mentioned above, GPU-Z sensor tab tells you all you need to know. Works outside of XP so there's zero drag on the XP system. The displayed data is configurable, and you can write to file rather than stare at it if need be. https://www.guru3d.com/download/gpu-z-download-techpowerup/ Edited January 6, 20251 yr by dolph98
January 6, 20251 yr The latest Nvidia App (replacement of Geforce Experience) has this built in and you probably have this already. You can press alt-z to activate the overlay. Then configure what you want to see. Press alt-r and it will show on top corner. See picture below. January 6, 20251 yr Author Ok, so I installed GPU-Z. Nice accumulation of data. However, I can't find any box to check or any indication of fps. I am using version 2.61.0. Is that an option that is no longer available in GPU-Z? @Sims Smith - I'll take a look into this, thanks. January 6, 20251 yr Yeah, if you have the G-Force Experience installed, that is probably a better option. There is no pipe for the FPS info with GPU-Z. I use the data within XP for that, CTRL+SHF+F.
January 6, 20251 yr Author I've had G-Force Experience in the past but never used it for anything other than driver updates. @Sims Smith - I updated G-Force Exp to Nvidia app. It has a lot of nice features that I probably will never use. However, I have the following displayed from the Game Overlay section active with Alt + R hotkeys: FPS GPU CPU & LAT. I don't see in the overlay section how to select the items you want to have displayed. In particular, I want to only display FPS, GPU & CPU. Don't see where I can uncheck a LAT box option Any suggestion(s)? January 6, 20251 yr Author In regards to the Nvidia overlay display - I see that there is a potential conflict with the hotkeys to activate the display (Alt + R)) and X-Plane 12 hotkey for activating recording. I'm not able to access my flt sim pc to check this at present. My thought is to activate the nvidia display of FPS et al with Alt + R prior to starting XP12, then since I won't be using the recording function during a flight, all should be well, and I can turn off the display once XP12 has been shut down. Does this process seem valid?
