ATC naked... Next will be (?)

Featured Replies

Either SayIntentions or any alternative 3pd ATC robot, or staying with default ATC which is now decent enough for my typical use of the sim - flying short to medium hops in Buses or Boings 🙂

BTW: Does default ATC in Xp12 do NATs ?

SayIntentions is getting several development updates, although I'm not sure if they apply equally to MSFS and XP12 ?

It's a bit expensive, but heck, I also keep paying for Navigraph ...

If any of you use SayIntentions with Xp12, please tease me 🙂

I've been pondering SayIntentions myself, but their website says utterly nothing about setup...how the client is set up, if a third-party interface like XPUIPC is required, PTT functionality etc.

Installation is a simple "setup.exe", no external software or exe.xml mods needed.

You can sign up at their pilot portal without purchasing the software. All the options, setup and knowledge base can be viewed there (again, without owning the software).

PS There is a setup and options explanation video on their Youtube channel.

My MSFS 2020 repaints: Flightsim.to - Profile of HStreet

Working on MSFS 2024 versions.

Traffic injection does not work for XP, everything else is and does not require any external tool.
It is incredibly simple to setup, assign a key to the PTT function and start having fun.

You can still get a free demo for 24 hours without any limitation.
It is amazing what mostly one guy alone has been able to build.
It does have some odd bugs here and there but is it 100 times more engaging than the default XP12 ATC

There's no Linux or Mac client for SayIntentions yet, right?

Correct. Currently Windows-only.

Well,

last night flying the Zibo from LPFR ( Faro ) to LPPT ( Lisboa ) with default ATC I was faced for the very 1st time since I've been using default ATC with 12.1.3 with the unfamous "descend to 0" bug 😕

From there on the rest of the flight was impossible, ATC-wise...

I would LOVE to have BATC in XP12.

Yes I am considering SayIntentions, but I want to wait a bit longer and check what effective support will be given to this platform, given that I believe their strongest income should come from MSFS...

SI's development definitely favours MSFS over X-Plane but even so, the X-plane support is there and lively. It's definitely better than BATC which has absolutely no support for X-Plane whatsoever.

You're throwing the towel too early as you can simply ignore that instruction and treat it as "at pilot's discretion".

Thanks.

Not exactly @Bjoern, at least in my case, because it entangled in a sequence of ATC events that never allowed me to get cleared to land, and as I landed "at my discretion", I "was given a number to call"...

Auto-ATC stepping forward.

I admit I never gave it a try, although some times I've said I would, but..., it looks promising / cool !
