I’m alright thanks. I just needed a break from the videos, I’ll be back 😊

Good to hear you'll be back and all is well. Looking forward to your videos.  My YouTube algorithm showing your videos first misses you!😊

Hi MrFuzzy,

Where do I find the "AMD 3D VCache performance optimizer"?  In my Bios?

Thanks in advance!

Hi! It's a small process that appears in Task Manager, you can open it by pressing CTRL+Shift+ESC. If you have installed the chipset drivers obtained from your motherboard manufacturer's website, you must have it.

Hi MrFuzzy,

Thanks for the reply!...Yes, I found it.  I didn't know that was running on Task Mgr. and now I know by reading this thread that it is an important feature!  You learn something everyday!  I do have the current chipset drivers for my AMD motherboard, a Gigabyte X670E with a AMD 7800x3D CPU installed.

Thanks again!, much appreciate it!

Also, I paid a lot for the CPU, it doesn’t make sense to only use half of it…

right, that's why I bought the AMD 7800x3D instead, for a few dollars less, and told them they could  keep that other half of the CPU, the one that makes no sense.😄

Well after a few flights and a number of touch n goes at KSEA I can say that both 2024 and 2020 preform more fluidly with the Bios setting. In my bios its named "Turbo Game Mode" it does more than just shut down one CCD according to the bios description.

In 2024 there is some kind of a transition going on after the takeoff roll when you hit about 200'-300'  I always get a few micro stutters and at some of the heavier airports these can be more pronounced.

The bios setting eliminates these stutters for me at KSEA, the Xbox game bar method does not.

Probably a wise decision! However you'll struggle rendering a 4K video whilst simming 🤪

Here's official AMD recommendations for 7950X3D owners: https://community.amd.com/t5/gaming/how-to-set-up-your-system-with-a-new-amd-ryzen-9-7950x3d-or/ba-p/589464

And here's a screenshot of everything working properly. The sim is in focus, and AMD Ryzen Master shows that CCD0 with the 3D V-cache is preferred:
