On Sunday night I attempted KLAS to EGLL in the PMDG 777W in 2020. About six hours into the flight, a total crash to desktop with no warning messages.
Tried the same flight last night and again about five to six hours into the flight a CTD.
I've done hundreds of flights across the atlantic in the PMDG 777 without problems and haven't changed any settings or add ons.

Any way I can stop this happening? Is it likely to be a problem my end or at Microsoft / Asobos?

Ive also had the same thing.  very strange.  Have you done a windows update recently ?

I think there was a windows update recently. I'm currently on windows 10 pro ver 19045.5371.

Is this a known issue? Is there any workaround?

I only say this as people mentioned a sound issue with the new windows update, maybe this is causing it.

I had the same problem flying (PMDG 737) from KXNA-KSDF (A Pilots life flight), 1.5hrs into the flight then bang CTD, tried it again and same thing. Im on windows 11, so I believe it is a sim issue FS2020, It's been a long time since I encounter CTD while in FS2020.

Does this mean it's a server / Asobo issue? I've not seen it reported anywhere else...?

I had CTDs in both 2020 and 2024 last 2 days. I'm thinking it is not a server issue. I think it is a sound issue. And windows updates are the cause, but I'm guessing.

EDIT: It only happens now on a minority of the flights. But until about 2 days ago, it never happened with 2020 or 2024.

Can you uninstall them all?

I went it to disable the ones that had been installed over the past few days and when clicking on them, I could only uninstall one of them. The others didn't give me the option to uninstall.

After you uninstall one, maybe others will then be available.

To uninstall updates, using Windows Advanced Startup Menu, just hold down the shift key while clicking on Restart and windows will restart in the Advanced menu. From there one of the menu settings will allow removing the last cumulative (monthly) or feature (yearly) updates.

Will a fix come out for this or are we expected to make the changes ourselves?

After removing the last cumulative update, MSFS 2024 still CTD's on me. It always happens when I try to land. Makes no difference which airport. As soon as I get close to touch down. Not every time. About half the time. So in my situation, the problem was not Windows updates.

which is interesting as its the same issue as me.  in the air fine, but its either on finals or taxiing in I get the issue.

Happened AGAIN today. Flying EGLL-CYYZ, about five hours into the flight a total CTD.

This is totally ruining my MSFS hobby. I've spent so much money on this hobby and I can't complete a flight at all.

Can anyone help?

Have anyone read the Navigraph thread, an issue was found with their last update causing CTD.
