January 23, 20251 yr Strange thing. I noticed all the aircraft listed for P3DV5 at Simmarket has a V5.4 and V6 tag next to it. This includes Leonardo, IFly and all the others. Are they saying all these aircraft are compatible to use and can be installed directly in P3DV6? I have my doubts about that considering developer statements in this regard yet apparently they’re selling them as such. Go take a look and see what you think. Vic green
January 23, 20251 yr Moderator The JustFlight Concorde has a v6 tag but no mention of v6 in the detail. https://secure.simmarket.com/just-flight-dc-designs-concorde-fsx-p3d.phtml Ray (Cheshire, England). January 24, 20251 yr Author So they’re selling these aircraft for P3DV6. Have they all been updated to V6 or is something rotten in the state of Denmark as the Bard might say? Addon aircraft, especially study level has been the obstacle for me in V6. Scenery’s not so much a problem. Vic green
January 24, 20251 yr Moderator If they use the default autopilot it’s quite possible they’ll be okay. Ray (Cheshire, England). January 24, 20251 yr Author But then if you look at the aircraft under the P3DV6 file very few are listed. Then go to P3DV5/ aircraft file and they all have a P3DV6 tag. The study levels like Ifly and Leonardo don’t use the default autopilot. At least I hope not. Be nice if this is true that all these work in V6 but I have doubts. Might be worth reinstalling version 6. Edited January 24, 20251 yr by Patco Lch Vic green
January 24, 20251 yr I think the v5/v6 tag at simmarket can be misleading. Regarding the airports I have read several comments from users in the past and not all airports will be just fine in v6; default building bleeding through and other issues. I think the v5/v6 tag means that you can install it in v6, but further no guarantees that all functionality of the airport/aircraft will be working as expected. So be carefull.

So be carefull. If so they need to proclaim that in bold type. Full disclosure rocks when it comes to selling goods and or services. I digress on the IFly MAX8. There is no V6 tag for that one but there is for the 737NG Advanced series. Vic green

If anyone should buy anything with a v6 tag that turns out to be incompatible SimMarket would be obliged to issue a refund. That should prove interesting if they refuse. Ray (Cheshire, England). My personal rule of thumb is that a product MUST have a dedicated installer (or at least the option within a universal installer) for a particular sim to be labeled as compatible. It also has to of course umm actually WORK after using said installer but they could (and have) blame your pc at that point. Russell Gough SE London
January 25, 20251 yr Author What baffles me is them showing a V6 tag on the IFly 737NG Advanced. I bought mine from Flight1 and on their product page there is no V6 mention. I doubt seriously the 737 NG Advanced or the Maddog work flawless in P3DV6. It’s a no issue for me since I have no plans to reinstall V6 other then a friendly buyer be ware to the community. Ifly has repeatedly said that the 737 adv and max do not work in v6. Can’t believe simmarket has a v6 tag on these planes on their site… Orman
