January 30, 20251 yr Posted this in DLSS thread as well but, not on a lot of peoples minds over there so, thought I'd give it it's own thread to I have a chance at solving it. Have added the files from Nexus to the Limitless folder (dlssg_to_fsr3_amd_is_better.dll and version.dll). Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling is on in display settings. That alone should bring up frame generation in the sim but, it doesn't. I installed the latest Nvidia driver (572.16 -no nividia app). In DLSS Swapper I have DLSS - 310.1, DLSS Frame Generation - 310.1. Any help would be much appreciated. It appears he installed mods (dlssg_to_fsr3_amd_is_better.dll and version.dll) that then allow FG throughout the RTX series. I was using it up until my new system was built last Fall. I expect that gdavis626 has the answer. FG only works in DX12, so that setting needs to be in place in MSFS. I don't think there is a choice for dx11 or 12. Think it's DX12 from the getgo. i7-13700KF @ 5.3GHz 32.0GB DDR5 @ 5600 RTX 3080 65" LG OLED @ 4k

You need to enable vertical sync (mine is set to 50% within MSFS20 and MSFS24) and I also suggest limiting FPS in the nvidia control panel (I limit to 60). I think you need to be using DLSS, but not sure about this as I don't use TAA). Hope you get it working. January 31, 20251 yr I have a 3080. The Nexus FG mod was working in both 2020 and 2024 up until yesterday. Now, after the Nvidia app and driver updates, the frame generation button in the 2024 settings has disappeared, and the Nexus FG mod is no longer working in 2020. I had to delete the Nvidia app and roll back the driver to get the FG mod working in 2020 again (I really like what the app does for performance in 2020, despite some artifacts). Has anyone else using the Nexus FG mod experienced this? Is there a way to stop the updated Nvidia app and/or driver from disabling the mod?

This is exactly what I do except I'm using TAA - but those settings work for DLSS also on 4k oled tv Rich Sennett
January 31, 20251 yr Author Got frame Gen working again in 2024. I'll have to go through what I did so it makes sense to others, as it was a multi process and I'm not sure what actually got it back. Too long of a day. Try again tomorrow. Rolled back driver and back to DLSS 3.8.1. i7-13700KF @ 5.3GHz 32.0GB DDR5 @ 5600 RTX 3080 65" LG OLED @ 4k
February 2, 20251 yr I too had a 3080 and have this problem. Is the only way you got Frame Generation back was to roll back to the prior driver and DLSS?

That's it in a nutshell. Although, I haven't been able to confirm the driver itself being a problem. But, because the latest driver messed with another sim (Assetto Corsa), it had to go. i7-13700KF @ 5.3GHz 32.0GB DDR5 @ 5600 RTX 3080 65" LG OLED @ 4k
February 2, 20251 yr Ugh, if you have a guide to doing that you'd recommend, I'm all ears. I'll search Google in the interim. I also posted about this on the FG Mod github. Thx.
February 2, 20251 yr Author Use DLSS Swapper and put in 3.8 for both DLSS and Frame Gen. See where that gets you and if need be, roll back your driver. That should do it. i7-13700KF @ 5.3GHz 32.0GB DDR5 @ 5600 RTX 3080 65" LG OLED @ 4k
