Still refuses to play ball. Emptied the community completely, still the same. Disabled it in Addons Linker tools ran the sim, shut down, re-enabled it...Same.

Last thing I can think of is that the streaming files got corrupted somehow. Try deleting the folder in your StreamedPackages folder.

That was my last thought before I drifted off to sleep last night.

Just spent an interesting hour cleaning out the C185. You'd not believe the places it hides! Eventually, I started the 'sim' and there was no sign of the "£$%%^^&!

Excellent.

Closed sim, restarted PC

Re-enabled the above mentioned.

Started 'sim'

C185 has reappeared

Started flight AND NO BLOODY CHANGE!

Bang. Straight into the cockpit.

I've noticed there is no 'me' standing by the plane.

All other planes in my collection behave impeccably.

On a positive note I have, this morning, cleared a blocked drain and fixed a dripping tap (faucet) so on the whole not a bad day.

I told you I wouldn't be beaten! I failed by forgetting a basic rule of fault curing. When you've tried 'everything' do a Repair in the Setting\Apps\programs menu. I was so peeded off I did a Reset too!  C185 now works as it should so I have no need to ever look at it again.

Thank you for your patience.

Ha, glad you finaly fixed it! It was a baffling one, but clearly some file somewhere was not ok.

In good news, though, reinstalling the whole sim is SO much faster that I've not hesitated to do that when things are weird. It takes ~10 min to uninstall and reinstall. But anyway, I hope you can finally enjoy this plane.. you've clearly been waiting to 🙂

You're so right. The trouble is I'm stuck in the mindset that reinstalling Flight Sims is a fortnights work!

If it re-occurs, 'expletive deleted' 2024!

I had actually gone down that and many other routes be fore resorting to Repain. But thanks for the thought. 😉
