FS2024: Reshade vs Nvidia Filters

Featured Replies

Both Reshade as GFE filters can enhance the scene.

Richard chooses Reshade while I am using GFE filters.

I did ttry Reshade a year ago but could not get the same look as with GFE  filters

It is good to have multiple ways to go 😎

I've used Nvidia filters in the past (with MSFS 2020) and found that, for all their bloatware, they didn't improve my overall sim experience much (if at all) - just gobbled up valuable system resource

  • I used to love the way XP11 looked with a reshade preset. I would love a reshade preset that would make my msfs 2020 look like this: I find that REX ATMOS is the easiest one to use, but

  • Nvidia filters still don't work in 2024 with the latest driver, as soon as we try to enable the first one the sim freezes. Had to disable them in the Nvidia app. Hope they fix it in the next driver.

Great thanks for that Richard!  What do I do with these files if you will?

I'm at work right now - just google how to load presets into reshade - I cant remember - I think you copy the one preset file into your flightsim exe folder - then load it in reshade - you will have to investigate - YT tutorials

What I described is the way you go about it - I'm no pro at reshade - this preset is subtle but nice not over the top like most - I tried all of them on flightsim.to this was the best for 2024
