CPPC dynamic preferred cores is set in my bios to "driver".....in the resource monitor I see the parked cores when switching from msfs to Ressource monitor quickly.....

And my powerplan windows is set to balanced.

I can't understand what's going on. I'm using this debloater. Would it make a difference?

I dont think something is wrong.

Core parking is active and MSFS is running in the non parked cores as needed at CDD0

The difference will most likely be, I used the A350 From IniBuilds wich is a cpu bad optimized plane especially, when switching to external view (as your screenshot shows IniBuilds less cpu intensive plane in cold and dark) i used a bad optimized a350 powered up.

The a350 suffers easily 30% fps in external view compared to cockpit view.

I will check TLOD 200, MSFS2024 and Boeing 737 max outside view watching towards OMDB skyline.

Is this with FG on? Anyway, 20 fps higher in drone view with Fenix vs ini, wow. It’s my experience as well, ini is extremely heavy on performance.

Also 2024 is very GPU-intensive. We’re currently testing a new version of AutoFPS where several settings can be disabled/reduced - RT shadows, clouds and in trees in particular have a significant effect on performance.Anyone can participate in the tests here

All Framegen off. Pure FPS 🙂

Yes A350 is a fps draining identified flying object.

I may have to go here because I reluctantly use FG and would be tickled to be able to turn it back off and get to where I was before adding performance-sapping addons like BATC and to a lesser extent Self Loading Cargo which tipped the scales for needing FG.   I would pick up this CPU if I could run all my airliners in or out of any airport at a minimum native frame rate of 50, using TAA, BATC + SLC.  I am at 3440x1440.  Right now I've seen as low as 34FPS native in the worst scenarios in MSFS 2020 but usually closer to 45 in most all airports.

Understand that completely. I need 45 fps in VR to feel smoothness.

Today I tested KSFO Flightbeam with FSLTL 60 injected planes roughly...all taxing wild West wise....and got 45 fps steady in VR with the CPU heavy A350 in MSFS2024.

VR off was easy 52 FPS with TOLD OLOD both 200 all setting at ultra....when I activated DynLod with TLOD75 and OLOD 200 I jumped up to 60-62 FPS....turned VR on and got stunning stable 45 while taxiing in night environment.  Landing with stable 30 capped in the Varjo...Varjo caps FPS at 45 or jumps down to 30 if 45 can not be achieved....turning Varjo FPS cap off was giving me 38 FPS in VR with 3kVR Resolution....

This CPU is a beast....

The outcome at MSFS2020 is even bigger at the moment....that sim profits the most from this CPU

BATC

I jumped from BATC to say intention premium....and use FSLTL for traffic injection.

Say Intention AI is at least 2 times better then BATC.

The speech engine is huge! The vectoring is much much better, quicker, clearer and always in time for instructions...

Say-Intentions is used for Co Pilot (who can not control the knobs), Cabin Crew and Ground Crew. Extremely responsive and so real that I can do complete conversations with my cabin crew....ordering food or drinks or instruct them to do things and they reply on everything I say in the most natural way that my mind struggles to see the difference between Say-Intentions and real world conversations. It doesn't matter...even talking 30 seconds to them....they reflect or reply all necessary input I gave them....just mind blowing

They speak in local native accents world wide! They give replies im their own order of reflecting my input...they make jokes or engage me with things like cabin is ready eor we have emergency on board....all there.

You should test it....its miles miles ahead of BATC...and does NOT effect my FPS at all...not even 1 frame!

BATC does....as soon as I run that app....without their traffic injection....it drains my FPS minus 5 average...

If you love real world interactions..... Say-Intentions is the way to go.

Thanks Marcus I will, but is there an option as there is in BATC and FSHud to have copilot handle interactions?  I won't use a mic so that is a basic need for me.  I'm less than enthralled with BATC's actual ATC instructions especially in mountainous regions and in that regard prefer FSHud, but FSHud's voices leave way too much to be desired.   I have had BATC route its own traffic into me on taxiways failing to tell me to stop or the other plane to stop so most of the time I just use FSLTL's injector and BATC for ATC only w/o its traffic and performance is significantly better.  Some think that's preposterous, but in reality I've had less conflicts with that than letting BATC manage its own traffic go figure and a better overall experience with more AI traffic and less performance hit.

9900X3D might be the ticket and fortunately my mobo appears to support it so something to consider for sure.  Right now in lightweight planes in 2024, like the Longitude, I turn FG off, TAA on and am back flawless image stability and quality, no 2nd screen judder which is super frequent, and no blurred smeared glass cockpit characters.  I can do that at around 50FPS in most all airports.

Yes....and that works like a charm as well. She\he does this also completely on her own... or when you ask her to ask for taxi or takeoff clearance or departure clearance.....even you may ask her per voice....you handle the coms, radios...she\he will answer as an real person that she or he will.

As I said....like a real world interactions.....really great. Also when performing the taxi checklist...she will ask you if she he should ask for taxi clearance...you answer yes....and she her performs the task...and and and...

I really loved the real world experience.....even the ATC....quick....natural...and so differentiated like in the real world...

Automatic route shortcuts....if you not able to follow...reply and they give you alternatives....or decent instructions.....so natural as I have never seen heard before.

It is worth every penny...

When you say to your cabin crew close the doors and cross check....they will reply....and tell you they will...after few seconds they come back and tell you the doors are closed...and and and

I am really impressed...

That's actually incredible. I haven't fine tuned my PBO, but I may just try a blanket -20. I also re-enabled SMT. Yes, core parking works. I must have screwed something up somewhere, because our numbers should be fairly close in a like/like scenario...although I am using a B650 mobo. Not sure if the higher tier boards have any benefit though.

Bios settings

Have you turned in BIOS SVM off? It drains my fps turning this security service on. At  my 7900x3d it costed me 10 fps roughly.....10% average at lots scenarios.

Have you set CPPC (dynamic core) parking set at "driver"?

Xmp\expo profile at "enabled"? Important to make your DDR5 RAM (64GB AT MY END) run at high frequency (6000mhz at my PC)?

Xmp\expo high bandwidth support "enabled"

Set the precision overdrive scalar Ctrl to manual

Set precision overdrive scalar to 10

CPU Vcore Loadline calibration to turbo (Aorus named it like that....Asus calls it lever 1.....level 10....etc. take the almost highest setting....not the highest....)

Set Precision boost overdrive enhancement to "90 level 5"?

Set PBO limits to "motherboard"?

Installed the latest chipset drivers?

That should be it.

Then make sure you have powerplan on balanced in windows

Also reinstalling MSFS2024 did help me with my prior fps issues I had. Costs not much time (10 min...and needs remapping the community folder and maybe some settings....but key bindings etc is stored in cloud and will pulled after installment automatically

A few things you've suggested I've already done, but I wanted to see with the updated BIOS if any of the "blanket" treatments have increased performance and stability at all, so I did the 90 Level 5 and Loadline to turbo. I've otherwise got custom RAM timings that are tight enough to have an impact, but conservative enough to prevent instability.

Funny enough, with the changes (compared to my other settings) I actually lost 5 FPS.

This is very interesting...I'm wondering if I should go back to the store and get a 9900x3D to compare. Maybe it's something to do with my system, maybe it's that the chip is actually just not as performative in flight sims.

At the end of the day, I do enjoy using Frame Generation, so, even though these numbers are "low," they well outperform the old 30 FPS minimum. It'd be great to see other users with these CPU's and be able to compare performance.

Reinstalling the sim is also an option...but...i don't wanna lol. I'm going to load up 2020 and see if there's much difference with everything tuned like this.
