Surprisingly they might have learned how to do a good plane.

In fairness they used to do reasonably good planes...but that was back in the mid 2000s!

Got this. Like it. And it works in 2024 (including the livery kit)

Ryzen 9 7900X, Corsair H150 AIO cooler, 64 Gb DDR5, Asus X670E Hero m/b, 3090ti, 13Tb NVMe, 8Tb SSD, 16Tb HD, 55" Philips 4k HDR monitor, EVGA 1600w ps, all in Corsair 7000D airflow case. Sims in use - 2020, 2024, XP-12 and -11, FSX/SE, P3Dv4.5 and v5.4. DCS and AFS2 installed but rarely used

I know people hate the 777 for various reasons but it's the one plane I can fly without worrying about FPS.

Installed it directly into 2024 with addons linker.

Edit: Right engine won't stay running...

Can you get the right engine to stay running? Quits on take-off before you can leave the ground.

Seems to work ok for me, but I'm just hot-starting on the runway. I'm no pilot of any kind, haven't even looked at the manual yet, just start on runway, hit the gas and wobble my way into the air. Haven't touched anything inside the cockpit at all. But I've gotten her up ok, and landed ok as well.  All I ask for <grin>

Strange, captain sim forum reports no one has it "working" in 2024. Can't use some of the essential levers and right engine just fizzles out on it's own.

Try hot start?

This is the base model (out of EGUN in 2024)

On the ground with engines running from ready to fly, right engine quits before takeoff.

Starting in the air, engine will continue running but much lower rpm then left engine.

Just tried another flight. Take off from hot start on runway (EGUN again), viewed whole takeoff from external view, above and slightly to rear of aircraft. No stoppage of either engine and both props looked to be spinning about the same speed (not very precise, I know).

Don't know what I can tell you. Maybe the Heinkel Fairy just likes me!

Heinkel Fairy...🤣

Glad it's working for you. Hopefully the developer will get it sorted for 2024 and the rest of us Fairy disliked.😉

Hope so, but not over-confident. CS don't seem in any great rush to do updates on anything. Which is a shame as they are about the level I want from most aircraft. Good looking, reasonably well modelled and ok to fly. I don't need PMDG type stuff. So I've got a lot of the CS stuff (777s, Herc etc) for 2020 but they certainly don't all work in 2024.

But then that's part of the reason for keeping both sims, for me.
