Ground crew removal 2024

Featured Replies

I fly mostly from/to small rural strips in both 2020 and 2024. I can't find how to get rid of the unrealistic hi-viz clad ground crew that mill around.

Is there not a way to turn them off?, or perhaps a mod for that function?

Thanks, Rusty

One of my main gripes since the days of MSFS. Although being one of them is part of my real life job, I couldn't be more persistent in wishing them away. I haven't found a way to eliminate them yet.

Cheers, Bert

you need to set the parking type as DOCK_GA,

and your airport will be empty

OK, I guess I can take it that there isnt an in game option for to remove these, really kills the atmos when I land at a remote grass strip and have these hi-viz plonkers ambling around or stood about on electric mini tugs

I found this works..

in the community folder, go to the folder for the plane, and then in there (or in one of the folders within the main plane folder) there will be a file called ‘aircraft.cfg’ that you can open in notepad. scroll down to where it says “small_pushback” and “ground_power_unit” and change those values from ‘1’ to ‘0’, save, load back in, and they’ll be gone.

edit: for the lear specifically, it’s community > flysimware-learjet-35a > SimObjects > Airplanes > flysimware_LEARJET_35A > aircraft.cfg and it’s under the [SERVICES] section of the cfg, which is the fourth block

See if that helps you

Yup...each aircraft has the settings so they have to be edited in the .cfg.  4 marshallers and GPU for a Cessna 152 was a bit much....😄

I have not been able to find an aircraft.cfg file in default (streamed) 2024 planes. Is it hiding somewhere I can access?

I think all aircraft except those in the standard version are encrypted.
