Guernsey, is a self governing Bailiwick a British crown dependency. Same for Jersey. British crown dependency but not UK. There's an interesting history behind it. I came here from the UK so still retain the same citizenship I had before. Duel citizenship is available after a given time. Off to Jersey in a month or so, as mentioned, that too is a self governing Bailiwick and not part of the UK. Just to confuse you, all Channel Islanders are British citizens.
