June 23, 2025Jun 23 A word of caution. For several weeks, the AIG Manager is giving errors when updating the flightplans with OCI. A lot of repaints are not being downloaded and the top buttons on the AIG Manager interface show in red, meaning that there are models/flightplans not updated, even after several trials. These errors are apparently related to faulty connections to certain download sites of AI models and looks like our friends of AIG haven't found the way to correct them. Also, it looks like they're not willing to solve the issue for Windows 10 users, but apparently this is also happening to Windows 11 users, so nobody scapes. I've been using AIG for years under Windows 10, as they have a good coverage of airliners around the world, but it seems that sooner or later I'll need to change to the other options available for AI Traffic, because manually downloading stuff and make are the necessary corrections to make the AIG Manager to work as it should, is really annoying. It's really a shame. Kai will obviously know better regarding external sources of models etc, but just to say I'm running Win11 and AIG Manager 1.3.5.0 and have every aircraft and flightplan installed. I have no errors or issues with any updates. There were a few issues endof May but I think they've been resolved now. September 15, 2025Sep 15 so, I discoved that I have the same problem. I haven't played msfs in months so i decided to start again. My first stop was to run aigm my old favorite. I knew there would be an update but those don't usually cause problems. it first said my folder location was too long but I already had that fixed, then it said I can change the location but the program immediately closes. I read this thread and I took out the beta in the folder and made sure the manifest file was correct. I go into my aigm program and everything is gone. It tells me to setup everything again. There is no way that I am going to download all those plans again so there needs to be something I can do. I still have the traffic and sim objects folder on the computer folders so that must help. I have been with you since the beginning but this is something that is going to make me jump ship. You guys have always been helpful in the past and I am hoping for some help once again.
September 15, 2025Sep 15 I decided to update the models and flightplans yesterday, and I was slightly concerned that they would not have resolved the problem regarding faulty connections to certain download sites. Thankfully, everything went very smoothly this time. There were multiple cases of having to "manually" download and install files, but even this was an extremely painless exercise (involving nothing more than several mouse clicks each time).
