Sharpening

Featured Replies

I tried this method of sharpening with great results.  Open the NVidia Control Panel. the top option should be Image sharpening.  I set sharpen to 0.50, Ignore Film Grain 0.17.  Really good result with XP12.

But you need to do some registry editing before you have that option. See this, please.

Strangely I didn't. It was already showing sharpening when I went into the NVCP.  Well worth the extra step as the sharpening is really good.

What’s your native resolution?  Sharpening shouldn’t be needed unless you run 1080.

4K, but I like the way the image looks with this sharpening.

Hi Ryan,

Did you try forcing 4k resolution in Nvidia control panel? With your 1440p you can "compress" so to speak your resolution and have a nice anti alias effect. Don't recall well all the procedure, I used to do it time ago, now I'm on 4k but I was very happy back then with my 1440p monitor forcing 4k resolution, of course with the processing power to back up the 4k graphics.
