I use it all the time. Its is the most realistic way to have actual traffic that's not only is correct but you don't have to worry if its going to follow the weather pattern and correct runways for landing and takeoffs more than those programmed based traffic injections.

I assume you need to pay the subscription for the tracking? Also, I saw many planes appear and disappear after landing, on taxiways, etc etc. Another thing, I usually fly during night, so the traffic is really sparse, that is my main issue. Does it have historic traffic data feature? past 24hrs will suffice. 🙂

That depends since they have free tracking service, however there is no guarantee they will cover all location. I uses Real Traffic as my subscription which I find is the most accurate and choose if I only want the use the service for one mouth for $11.99 usd, 3 mos for $28.79usd. If I know I will be flying seriously for whole year than I would get the yearly for $107.99 usd.

That depend on the service you pick. The free ones may have that issue but I don't have that when I am using Real Traffic only with Live Traffic.  Planes will spawn at the gate of whatever position that it is depend on actual position but usually complete it travel to the gate or to the runway and not turn off. You can also control their appearance at the gate by turning them off if the spawn on top or happen to taxi to your gate. Same when you taxing to the runway and you don't what the plane behind you to over run you on take off. You can turn them of on take off and then turn back on. So you do have so control if needed.

One of the coolest thing I enjoy seeing is the traffic in front you as a pattern from going to the airport and its all realtime.

Unfortunately it does not.

The free feeds are supplied by volunteers with receivers, hence the spotty data.

Taxiing, parking and historic traffic is available from RealTraffic. Maybe also ADSBExchange. Both cost mmoney.

My add-ons from my FS9/FSX days

There's been a few changes to LiveTraffic in recent days, including - importantly - the once-troublesome Opensky access. Suggest users check out the latest update to LT.  And on-screen notification of an LT update will be back soon... which is handy.
