Its as easy as going to Prepared3D and downloading an SDK update for fsx and Scruffy Ducks airport design editor will allow you to be the best perfectionist you can be!

i will give you the link and walk you into getting ADE to work. Then ill give you the save file and you will very quickly see i am pushing the boundaries to give the illusion of custom work.

vector work is not easy, you should see how many times it took me just to get the railroad bridge to line up.

Once i publish this, it will be to my satisfaction only.

  • Wow, another really nice scenery addon for Irealnd. I can confirm it seems to be perfectly compatible with Orbx Ireland after about 90 minutes flying around the area and lots of landings. I also teste

  • Added east Austin east of I35, now providing a clear runup to KAUS during night or day, its actually quite canny on approach if you have imaginesim Kaus objects or textures (my computer doesnt handle

No no. It's fine as it is. Jeez no I didn't mean to come across as entitled in the slightest. I am actually really sorry. I got a bit carried away with the whole project thing. As long as the town just exists under any standard it's PERFECT. 😄

That's perfectly fine. I will admit that the hospital idea was a bit too much. If I'm not coming across as genuinely sorry for my pressure, feel free to tell me. Gosh, I am actually really sorry. I had no idea I was working you up so much. It just felt like a lot of adrenaline, such a town finally being done. Unless I know you're fine with the hospitals, I am sorry and I do actually appreciate the effort you put in and I COULD NOT BE HAPPIER!

I genuinely feel so bad. I am actually not sure whether I am coming across as a bad person or not. I had the best intentions and I am SERIOUSLY not ungrateful. I am far from ungrateful. I had just assumed you didn't know much and was just giving some info about it. I wasn't trying to be obnoxious. Please, I am really sorry.

Hell no i aint fine with the hospitals, just trust me. I want the whole town accurate VFR. I was just trying to reel you back in when you started going on about white triangles on the tarmac and doing 80+ kilometers of GPS accurate roadwork

All i care about is making Athlone look as stunningly canny as possible. That despite the fact its blocky polygons, you can immerse yourself into believing its athlone, as any pilot is so hyper focused on landing, the point of interest or landmarks are critical in setting up an approach.

Ill send you a private message of a reddit post of me landing at athlone last night in 18 mph/26 mph gust head wind. And i want you to watch how i set up my approach, using landmarks to guide it in.

I also noticed there is a light on the H's ring, i assume it is blue. In the USA i believe landing lights for helos are blue. This is allows you to focus on a single blue light....

Focus on that in the video i am about to share.

Oh thank God. You had me worried. Thanks for clarifying that. I won't go into detail (it's just Autism) but sometimes I have a hard time telling what mannerisms people are trying to say stuff in and if people are sarcastic or not. You SCARED ME. 🤣 You sound so passionate I can't even describe it. Seriously, thank you. I was worried I had done something wrong.

Here is me landing in 18 mph/26 gust headwind. I do not prefer to land from this direction/heading, as it is a little more dangerous due to the church, and the radio tower. But due to the headwind, I had no choice.

By no stretch was this an easy landing

Here is me landing in 18 mph/26 gust crosswind.

Holy mother of God. The church, the Barracks, from the cockpit... OH MY GOD YOUR EFFORT IS PAYING OFF! This is actually like genuinely brilliant. I will admit, I am actually from Athlone but I didn't say at first because privacy concerns. But since that level of detail exists, THAT IS ULTIMATE RESPECT TO ATHLONE! I forgot to mention, since it's a barracks, it'd likely be a very good helicopter practice area in general. BRILLIANT JOB! (OR at least it's surprising to me right now).

Oh and I have been flight simming for years and some of my AC112 flight path is based on realistic flightpath from the actual thing, the distance it slows down from, how it slows down, how it circles.

That is what is all about, I see so many get hung up on scenery in FS2024, and at the end of the day, its about shooting calculated approaches under unique challenges.

Before I fly, I always go to the METAR-TAF and take the time to do accurate weather layers, conditions, dew point, visibility, winds. FSX is the perfect flight simulator for ease of flight. FSX is still very beautiful in its own polygonal way!

Trust me, you're going to love this. Let me finish my Texas project, and we can discuss doing more Ireland stuff. Because I love it tbh, Ireland is a neat little island to navigate/gave me a reason to learn how to fly the Cerasim MH65 Dolphin!

(cant recommend enough you BEG your family to allow you to purchase payware from Cerasimaircraft.com, I can promise its not a virus).

--> this is the absolute gold standard for Helos in FSX. Will teach you about energy transfer REAL quick

I used to have it on an old computer. Pre virus. I had mistakenly downloaded a virus called r66. It wasn't an aircraft, nor advertised as one, but the idea of third party stuff scared us. Freeware is as good. Plus, I don't really fly internationally anymore. I now primarily fly around Ireland since I managed to start flying Irish Air Corp stuff.

OH AND THAT METAR IS LIFESAVING! I NEVER KNEW I COULD USE THAT! I always just put overcast clouds and winds slightly higher than the ground one for altitude, but this CHANGES EVERYTHING! THANK YOU!

I wouldn't beg my parents. It's like a zero tolerance thing. I used to be on my parents' google account before I got my own, so there was no risking their details going GOD KNOWS WHERE! Unless I KNEW HOW TO explain to them how I would not get a virus from freeware or payware, they wouldn't be convinced.

Cerasim would not sell a product with a virus. No payware developer would do that. Also, two, i own it! 🙂
(purchased a license). Its virus free, i promise.

there is also, dodosim aircraft that people swear by which is free now.

But Cerasim is the absolute best, and thats by 2025 standards.

I get you'd just say they wouldn't, but they wouldn't buy that. They're not stupid. Like, we trust Steam because they are 'well known' while the rest are obscure and very unknown. What would you say? Like almost a full essay thing, like evidence.

Idk, i wouldnt call payware devs as obscure. Cerasim has been around since 2006. I just figured you'd be more nervous about freeware. Payware is typically regarded as high quality, from trusted devs.

If they sold spyware or malicious virus, they'd go out of business. Thats all i meant. Just if youre interested in the helo i was flying.

Just do your research before buying product, there are tons of forum post or youtube videos reviewing these craft.

but at the end of the day, everyone has their favorite craft.  I would never recommend something that i did not approve myself.
