It doesn’t record an actual video. For example, you would record your flight and replay it with flight recorder. Then record various views like external, passenger view etc etc with OBS. OBS is what’s going to make the actual video files, FlightRecorder simply records current simulation variables and replays them back in the sim. hopefully I explained it well.

If you play in-situ (in Avsim) it's 720p but when out to YT it's up to your capture level of 1440p. Tell me your exact settings to obtain that if you will. Was it Shadowplay or OBS you were using for those? They were great!
