SIMDATA- Keyvan Aviation Navigation Data for X-Plane

Hello AVSIM Community,

My name is Aysan, and I’m part of the team at Keyvan Aviation, an EASA-approved Type 1 DAT provider (also approved by the FAA) specializing in global aeronautical navigation data in ARINC 424 format.

We’re excited to share that we’ve recently launched SIMDATA, our official navdata package developed directly for X-Plane 11, 12 users. It includes regularly updated AIRAC cycles, global terminal procedures, airport data, and routing intelligence—all tailored to enhance realism for X-Plane sim pilots.

Unlike other options that rely on third-party repackaging, SIMDATA is built and maintained directly by our data team, ensuring a high standard of accuracy and compliance.

If you’re interested in learning more about our offering or accessing our online store, you can find details here:

We welcome any questions, feedback, or discussions from the community. Thank you for allowing us to introduce our work.

Totally fair point — and you're right, some companies make it far too difficult to unsubscribe, which understandably puts people off. At Keyvan Aviation, we’ve made sure our one-year subscription

Ok lets just trust everybody then. I own a business, and certain countries you do not trade with. It is as simple as that. Even the bank says so...

@SIMDATA_Team the problem is. I like many dont want to subscribe to anything. I used to use Aerosoft and down load an update every few month. Paid for one at a time. Havnt updated since they stopped. Such is life.

Simdata, don´t worry. Many of us are under 70 years of age and have no problems with subscriptions because we remember we have them and can cancel them if we don´t want them anymore 😂

I get not loving another subscription, but $30 a year isn’t too bad—comes out to like $2.50 a month. For what SimData offers, I think it’s worth it.

That only gives me 6 years to enjoy my subscriptions until I have to delete them 😂

I have two yearly subs already, not getting any more.

So, I’ve just been on their website, and it all looked pretty good until I wandered over the FAQ section and I quote

Is SIMDATA Trustable?
DEFFENETLY YES. SIMDATA used ARINC 424 v22 Structured and developed by Keyvan Aviation, an EASA Type 1 DAT provider. Also, it is ISO 9001 & 27001 Compliant.
His data trusted and used by airlines, training academies, and professional pilots

My alarm bells started ringing when I noticed three things. 1.) the block capitals to emphasise definitely and 2.) the fact they can’t spell definitely and 3.) “his data”.

So on that basis, I’m ruled out. I fear anyone that can’t spell definitely, or even spellcheck a website rules me out. Certainly not professional in my eyes.

Well there are lots of companies doing subscriptions who are makingout nigh on impossible to unsubscribe. Adobe is just one. I just refuse to give people such convenient access.

Hi,

I'm also not crazy about if "Keyvan reasonably suspects any violation of terms or reasonable suspects someone has gained unauthorized access" your account will be terminated or suspended with zero liability on their end and no refund of any payments made.

Even if I was looking for another yearly sub, this company is definitely not one I'd be a part of going forward!

Account Termination and Suspension
Violation of Terms
In the event that (i) you violate these Terms, (ii) Keyvan reasonably suspects that you have violated these Terms, or (iii) someone has gained unauthorized access to your Account (or Keyvan reasonably suspects that someone has gained unauthorized access to your Account), you acknowledge and agree that Keyvan has the right to suspend or terminate your Account and access to the Services (including Data) effective immediately.

No Liability
If Keyvan exercises its right to suspend or terminate your Account in accordance with the above, you agree that Keyvan shall have no liability or responsibility to you and that you will not receive a refund of any amounts that you have already paid to Keyvan.

Plus it appears to be based in Turkey. No thanks!

Dear sir,

thanks a lot for your attention. and sorry for this mistake.

this page of our website is just updated and of course we should have been more careful.

but be sure that this spelling mistake don't affect our accuracy of our data. it's more that 4 years that we support real airlines. and now would be happy to share exact same accuracy and commitment with sim pilots.

We fully understand that trust is essential when it comes to navigation data—especially in the world of flight simulation where realism and accuracy matter greatly. Please allow me to clarify a few important points about our company and services:

  • Keyvan Aviation is an EASA-approved Type 1 DAT Provider, and also holds FAA LOA Type 1 authorization—both of which are official recognitions from the highest regulatory bodies in aviation.

  • Our navigation data is built in full compliance with ARINC 424 standards and is used by professional aviation entities as well as simulator platforms.

  • While our company is headquartered in Turkey, we operate globally and adhere to strict international data quality and safety standards. Regulatory compliance has no borders, and we are proud of the quality and integrity of our work.

We welcome all feedback and encourage users to evaluate our service based on data quality, transparency, and support—rather than geography. If you or anyone in the community would like more information, we’d be happy to provide documentation, product samples, or respond to specific questions.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts — and I completely understand your perspective.

At Keyvan Aviation, we currently offer a one-year subscription, which includes all AIRAC updates for that period. We went with that approach to keep things simple and cost-effective for users who want reliable, up-to-date navdata without worrying about individual purchases every cycle.

That said, we absolutely understand where you're coming from, and your feedback is valuable as we consider additional options in the future.

Thanks for sharing your perspective.
