Problem with FC Scenery

Featured Replies

Hi All...

I recently purchased FC Scenery for my P3dv5.4.

Got the link and downloaded the 7 .rar files for Colorado.

Opened Winrar to Extract the files, and was hit with ERROR: 0x8096002a

I've sent an inquiry to FC Scenery, but haven't  heard from them in over a week.

Has anybody had this problem before??

Thanks

Skip d

I've had issues occasionally but that was more that the zip wasn't completely downloaded. It might be a specific zip out of the 7 which isn't complete, most of the zip are around 10gb so it could be that? I have Colorado v1

Did you send your query to the new email address - [email protected] ? Fernando had some problems with the old email address. I can't help with your query sorry, I haven't installed Colorado yet.

Try downloading all the zip or rar files for the scenery, then try to extract again.  It is likely that one or more of the zip files has an error in it.  This is somewhat common when downloading large packages like this.  I recommend using a browser that is known for handling large downloads well, like Firefox or a third party downloading tool to help ensure no errors occur during the download process.  Also, make sure you only download one zip file at a time, downloading multiple files at a time is more likely to cause errors.

Thank you all for the quick advice !!!

I'm curious as to one thing though. There are two Versions of a lot of US States.

Is it necessary to have Ver. 1 BEFORE you can purchase Ver. 2

V1 and v2 are totally separate products. You received the upgrade for no extra charge.

Once again....thanks for the input.

I'm going to give Zylx's advice a try and download 1 .rar file at-a time....then try to extract it.

Plus I'm going to use a free download tool to help.

Hope this works ...!!!!

I'll let you know....maybe it'll help somebody else tha's got the same problem.

Sometimes only the main zip or rar is extractable and the others are read by the installer. They just need to be in the same directory to make installation work.

Use winrar as that is the recommended program to unzip.
