Various bugs

Ini 350 - Batteries need to be maintained (they are 0% when you start), engine oil needs refilling. Both can be quickly fixed from the Maintenance tab, after which the plane is fine.

Fenix: I've had a couple of depressurization events that are likely bugs (been flying the Fenix since it launch years ago, never had this.. so unlikely to be me messing up, but possible)

Default Ini planes - the Simbrief import is kinda borked, needs the departure put before arrival (or something similar.. doesn't work as it should). Some crashes. but I haven't tested these much.

Brakes don't work in some default planes, or work badly. Fenix and 350 and Blacksquare stuff is fine.

FBW A380 causes a CTD on loading.

PMDG is broken, doesn't work.

Ifly 737 is borked. Same for the MD80? (don't have that).

Simbrief EFB app is gone (but is apparently coming back with the next beta release)

Things like that. Nothing terrible, and one expects that most of these will get cleaned up through the beta. Nothing that stops me from enjoying my airliner ops with the Fenix and 350. Just your standard beta things you kinda expect with the early versions of the betas.

Most third party GA planes are working (A2A, Cows, Blacksquare tested and working normally, at least in short basic flights. Might have more subtle bugs that I haven't noticed)

Thanks for the quick and detailed reply. May just ride it out till more stuff works.

Yup, I'd wait for a couple more builds if you aren't willing to tolerate this. I will say that it's definitely better than the SU3 beta at the same early stage.. that one I had to leave the beta program entirely. This is more like a "normal" beta.

The update today fixes a bunch of these issues. The brakes, for one. And likely many WASM crashes.

I thought this would be one of those annoying HYPE HYPE HYPE videos but it's actually pretty good.

The user has state-of-the-art hardware but running in 4k with payware mods... so a realistic sim setup imo (none of this 1080p vanilla stuff)

I think the frame time graph was really helpful as well, as well as the 1% low comparisons.

Even though there are still some stutters upon approach and landing it's clearly better in SU4 beta

It really is. It’s night and day for me. The whole experience from the fast loading to smooth menus to even faster loading into the airport. And then just the smoothness. It’s the best experience I’ve ever had in flight sim. Part is the new hardware, but certainly SU 4 has made real performance gains.

I would actually love to see the sim use more system RAM if available. In this video, they have 64 GB available, but the sim is only using about 27GB in SU4. It should load more assets into RAM ahead of time so that it doesn't have to load them into RAM from the cloud right as you are about to land. That way, it can transfer them from RAM to VRAM more seamlessly, hopefully reducing the stutters.
