Really like the new mission portal with the charity donations. As far as emails, I get a few and just hit the good ole delete button on the ones I'm not interested in. Like someone said earlier, I'll always read through the SI product update emails and just deleted anything that I don't want to read through. Jase I wasn't with SI from day one, as I started with BATC, as SI seemed to be only VFR at the beginning. However, after trying it, I switched over to SI and love all the additions they have made over time, such as the mobile app, checklists, missions, and other features. Does Brian promote too hard? I don't know - marketing is used to create awareness, and SI needs that. I don't get spam from SI. All I get is an occasional email about updates. But I cannot imagine flying without SI at this point. Rick Abshier 5900X | RTX 5070 Ti OC| 64 GB@3600 | India Pale Ale

Then try to unscubcribe from getting that occasional email about updates and you will find you can't. They will continue to come even after you unsubscribed. THAT'S the spam part. Not the frequency at which they come. 4 hours ago, ricka47 said: I wasn't with SI from day one, as I started with BATC, as SI seemed to be only VFR at the beginning. Then Brian succeeded in putting whool over your face as you were blinded by all the fluff. I tried SI for 2 months after traffic was released and was appaled by the lack of proper phraseology and procedures. The core of the program the actual ATC is severely underdeveloped. Considering he had a head start to BeyondATC he should be in better shape with his program, but he isn't. Edited November 16, 2025Nov 16 by Farlis

Big scoop a few weeks ago about an (otherwise no-name) American political commentator doing this with Substack, they're maintaining "two lists" so when you unsub from the first you get added to the second. It's illegal. Homeboy has "1 million" subscribers who never opted in. Edited November 16, 2025Nov 16 by mspencer

I still have BATC but SI meets my needs better. It’s as simple as that. Rick Abshier 5900X | RTX 5070 Ti OC| 64 GB@3600 | India Pale Ale

At least I used to be before it got sold to Disney and they lost their way.
