All my saved passwords were erased.

Now when I attempt to login Discord I can't because I have forgotten my password.

And I can't request it to be reset as the email address I used when creating my account does not exist anymore - the isp doesn't exist anymore AND

My mobile phone number doesn't exist anymore.

I have searched everywhere to find a way to contact Discord but could not find one.

I had a lot of servers 'attached' to my account with chats on many which I would like to continue with.

Any ideas?

Your email and telephone number don't exist anymore and you don't know your password. I am certain that there is nothing discord will do in that circumstance. You will just have to start a new account with them and keep your contact details up to date in future.

The more important thing is how did your passwords get erased and you obviously don't have a back up.

Depending on your web browser, passwords can be easily retrieved if you didn't forbid their storage.

If you have even the slightest suspicion that someone may have made malicious modifications (malware, zero-day exploits) to your computer, I recommend that you IMMEDIATELY disconnect your computer from the internet and then perform a full scan for malware (e.g., using Windows Defender). This can take several hours or even days, depending on the number of files.

 

Two simple practical tips for people who want to stay on the safe side:

1. Use a VPN if possible when browsing Discord. The swiss ProtonVPN has a very capable free mode. 

2. Never download an executable file from any Discord server with the intention of actually running it! 

Discord is a breeding ground for all sorts of shady characters – I nowadays consider some Russian forums safer. And that's saying something!😉😒

My saved passwords lost - I did a cleanup using Ashampoo Winoptimiser and selected clear Browsing Traces which it seems and I have found that it must also clear out all  the saved passwords - those which automatically are inserted from the Windows System.

My mobile phone number doesn't exist because when my wife died I decided to use her phone and close my phone's plan and phone number as it was more expensive than my wife's phone plan.

My ISP decided to close down its email service so that email address also 'died'. I thought that I had updated all my mobile phone numbers on bank accounts etc but forgot that it was also on my Discord account.

I will try your suggestion re recover but have doubts it will work.

Thanks David,  I didn't know that a browser was associated with Discord as it is run externally from a browser.

Thanks bailout.  That is what I thought which is a pity as I do not find Discord to be particularly user friendly to use and I will now have to try and work out all the servers I had listed and join them again.

I find that I cane select Manage/Switch accounts and I saw two previous accounts one of which would be the one I had been using. It my (feeble) attempts to work it through I accidentally (or otherwise) select LOG OUT to that one and it now isn't listed. Is there a method to attempt to login to that username? I tried uninstalling Discord (and erasing the folder on the C drive (users/myname/appdata etc) and reinstalling thinking that it would then allow me to enter the username for login but it didn't (user unfriendly?).
