February 19Feb 19 Author My setup is the Airbus quadrant and stick, plus the CH pedals. I could map the tiller to the flight stick “twist” and the make the CH pedals the rudder. Does that sound right? 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 96GB DDR5 | 4K G-Sync | Win11 Pro
February 19Feb 19 I've never had any issues from release it's just got better and better each update. But I don't use any other addons.

Does that sound right? That is how I do it. VKB stick twist for for tiller and pedals for breaking and rudder Ron MSFS 2024 -Too many airplanes to name. Too many airports to name.

February 19Feb 19 It looks like, you are getting there, Rob. And getting there is half the fun with the A350. I wish you good luck on completion of a (successful) long-haul with this one, a smooth touchdown included…🙂…
February 19Feb 19 The A350 is one of the easiest aircraft to fly. In a positive sense. Airbus has really thought about how to make the aircraft as intuitive and comfortable as possible for pilots, and once you get the hang of it, it's like riding a bike. Some of my procedures only have 2-3 steps, the entire engine start-up, for example. But you have to like it, it's definitely not for everyone.
February 19Feb 19 I love the A350. After a few performance issues when moving to FS2024 (a problem on my end, not the aircraft). I've flown it pretty much exclusively. Combine it with Flight sim first officer, and you have yourself a fantastic long haul aircraft.
February 19Feb 19 Last time I tried it I had a WASM crash just before landing after an otherwise very pleasurable flight from LEBL to LPPT. I still have to get acquainted with the specificities in interaction with it's various systems of the 350, but it's a really nice model in FS 2024 ! Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)
February 19Feb 19 Author Had a few issues last night but i am undeterred. Had a WASM crash while using the FMS. Additionally, the plane crashed right as i loaded up, giving me a “Back on track” dialog. The jetway was banging up against the side of the plane, and i had part of it in the cockpit. Unrelated to the A350 I also had nothing but problems with TrackIR. So last night was one of those nights. I deleted the a350 folder in the WASM folder so we shall see. Earlier yesterday i did get two nice flights out of her, so the plane is really well done. Just need to sort out some gremlins. I also fired up the FBW A380. Beautiful plane, and the team have done a great job. But there are a lot of disabled features compared to commercial offerings (which I understand), but i will definitely be spending more time with her. 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 96GB DDR5 | 4K G-Sync | Win11 Pro
February 19Feb 19 Good to hear, you’re undeterred. It appears you’ve several things going at the same time, besides just the A350. Does it all work if you start in a plain vanilla scenario e.g., on the runway with engines running, just to eliminate some of the complicating factors…? Regarding the WASM crash, my such crash had also occurred when I was switching between EFB and FMS, but in the A340, not in the A350. I just quit and restarted my Xbox App and then MSFS.

I am going to try to isolate the issues today, so I will try loading from the runway. But I am a Cold and Dark sort of simmer but we'll see. I also cleared everything I could from the community folder, so we'll see if that helps. Thanks for the help! 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 96GB DDR5 | 4K G-Sync | Win11 Pro

It was actually easier than I thought, of course, spoken with the audacity of a non-RW (virtual) pilot…🙂… But simplify to an engines-running condition, just for testing purpose.
February 19Feb 19 Author Tried starting it from a runway. It loaded running and then the entire plane shut down. Trying to go back to Ready to Taxi state caused a lot of warning sounds and then it just started moving. Need to try this again to find out what is going on. Even though you started the A350 on the runway, with engines running by default, I presume you still did the (applicable) EFB and FMS/MCDU setup steps. Once those steps are done, you should be able to release brake and prepare for immediate takeoff. Changing the engines to some other state at that point will probably not work, though I haven’t tried it.

It went Cold and Dark pretty fast. 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 96GB DDR5 | 4K G-Sync | Win11 Pro
