February 27Feb 27 As others have mentioned, ditch the 50fps. Keep your monitor at 60hz, cap your frames at 30 and try the in-sim FSR 2x Frame Gen (pretty sure it works with 3080ti). I have been happy with this setup and also use AutoFps to help on the ground to help reduce the panning stutters. I find that my performance is great until I do that. February 27Feb 27 Author I did these suggestions and found that when it is smooth, it is smoother than ever before. However, It will go into spurts of stutters that some out of nowhere that are really bad. I gotta figure this out! The stutters seem to come when accelerating and turning Intel Core i7 12700K (5.0GHz Max Boost Clock) 12-Core CPU 32GB G.Skill Performance DDR4 SDRAM 3600MHz Graphics Processor:12GB Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Ti, GDDR6x System 2TB Western Digital, NVMe M.2 Solid State Drive
February 28Feb 28 FG does work fine with a 3080Ti (FSR). Set frame to 30, refresh at half and FSR to x2 and you have 60 FPS. Disregard what Mace wrote, with dev mode on you can see FPS double when FG is on. What does not work with AMD FSR3 is the MSI Afterburner overlay. With FG on there is no overlay. I also found this video: One more tip. Use the Nvidia CP to enable Vsync. Then lock your fps in the sim. It's what I did to prevent screen tearing. My panning is nice and smooth. MSFS
February 28Feb 28 Author Thanks everyone! I'll try all of the reccomendations Intel Core i7 12700K (5.0GHz Max Boost Clock) 12-Core CPU 32GB G.Skill Performance DDR4 SDRAM 3600MHz Graphics Processor:12GB Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Ti, GDDR6x System 2TB Western Digital, NVMe M.2 Solid State Drive
February 28Feb 28 I probably wouldn't try anything crazy but I would try auto fps. I would also try the new dlss file using dlss swapper or something. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
